Tornados rip through Florida...change of plans.

Most of you have seen or heard the reports coming out of Central Florida regarding the tornados that tore through several communities last night. All this was a little “too close to home” for Melanie, Kayla and I for a couple of reasons.
First of all, the bulk of the devastation occurred just 20 minutes West of our house and secondly, it brought back many of the memories of the events that we personally experienced as a result of Hurricane Katrina while living in New Orleans.
I was scheduled to depart for Miami in the morning at 6:00 AM to witness outside of the football stadium during the Super Bowl—but we will instead be going to WAL-MART tonight to load our trailer with supplies to carry to the effected families just down the highway from our home. So many came to our aid when we found ourselves in a similar situation—now it is our turn to do the same thing for them.
Please pray for us:
Like I said, this hit REALLY close to home and brings up all kinds of emotions as we see the images that remind us of all that we endured just 18 months ago in New Orleans. Pray that we will have the strength to minister to the many families who have lost everything-including homes, neighbors, and even their children in some cases. This is a tough situation---but we are relying on the Holy Spirit to move in a powerful and loving way.
Also—pray for our van. We have been having some serious problems with our cars and are just having to believe Jesus to get us there and back with the needed supplies. I told Melanie today, “We have AAA and if it breaks down we will have them tow the van to the disaster site.” I’m serious.
We are taking all that we can to the families and believing that God will multiply as we give out of our need. If you would like to help in any way, you can donate online by clicking the “make a donation” button below and putting “disaster relief” in the memo.
Thanks for the prayers,
Pastor Troy D. Bohn
