THE PROJECTS
We went to the projects today to feed the souls of the poor here. We travel everywhere in two decked out Jesus buses. One belongs to the Texas team and one is Pastor Troys. Karen and i was blessed to pray with and visit a mom and daughter, May and Lola. we were with them for about 30 minutes so. The mom has arthritis, very severe and the daughter takes care of her. They are both older so it is a challenge for both of them. The place they live has a lot of drug traffic and a boy was killed there last week. For us it does not matter if they "chose" this life, or it was thrust upon them. To us it only matters that they see the love of Jesus in our actions and that we help them come to know His saving Love. We love them and we want them to know Jesus.
i also met Dorothy. she is a 44 year old woman who lives alone and is doing her best. We prayed with her and confirmed her love and commitment to Jesus. i also met Natasha and Ronald. We spent enough time to get to know them and offer them a chance to know Jesus. Their ongoing needs will be met by the RAVEN Gulf Coast team. Praise God for that.
i am doing great. We had an awesome worship and praying up this morning before we went out and i had Pastor Sam pray for encouragement for me. this outreach to the people at Mardi Gras is like nothing i have done before and it tough. Again, it is hard to preach to a fog ridden inebriated person and i need all the prayers and grace i can get. Thank you so much for standing with me in prayer, i could not do it without you.
We are getting ready for dinner, then we will pray up and worship before going back to the Mardi Gras party scene. God bless you all... i love you.
PS...Nick and Shayne made it safely and are in the thick of it.
