SOUL PATROL
"Woe to the crown of pride, to the drunkards of Ephraim, whose glorious beauty is a fading flower, which are on the head of the fat valleys of them that are overcome with wine!" Isaiah 28:1
Man o Man, is this ministry different. When we are out in the Tenderloin and in Santa Rosa with the poor and the homeless, most people want prayer and when you offer the saving blood of Jesus, many accept. Here among the drunk revelers, there is a heavy spirit of fog. They refuse prayer outright or ignore you , avoiding eye concact. It is very sad and heart-breaking. the ones who do talk to you go on and on about things that do not matter and it is hard to get them to focus on what is important. This is a hard outreach. i wouldn't miss it, it is a challenge. We stayed out til midnight in the French Quarter and i hung with Toni, Karen, and Gloria. We talked to many, planting seeds for the future.
Eileen Shuff is in the picture on her knees praying folks into the kingdom.
Today we will be headed out to a housing project to feed about 700 and do worship and minister to them. Then dinner, worship and back out to the street. God bless you all, i am praying for all of you back home. Have a great day, i love you all.
