THE VIEW FROM HERE
i made it, praise God!! New Orleans, home of Mardi Gras! Here i am. It was a great trip, long but good. i met a young black man on his way to New York to attend dance college. He was a very "nice" guy with a good personality. He was a young gay man who in the end did not want to know Jesus right now, but a seed was planted. Lord, bless him and grow the seed into a budding flower for you. Amen.
Well, i made it, but my luggage did not. i wonder if God wants me to know how these folk here felt when Katrina stole all their luggage? i was thinking about it, the only things i miss are all my Raven shirts and my toiletries!!! Elva got me a sleeping bag at Wal-Mart and a towel and i am good to go.
Pastor Troy met me at the airport here and there was another RAVEN on my flight i did not know named Bob. We got gas and then went back to the airport for Max Love.... This is the part that is so great, seeing all the brothers and sisters you miss and meeting new ones. Toni is here and great, she said hello when i got in at 1am. Pastor Sam and Lucy, Pastor Terry and Eileen are here. The adventure for God begins!!
So, i am awake and showered, ready for what God brings this day. i am rejoicing in it and i am glad. God bless you all, i will write as often as i can.
"In the Lord put i my trust, how say ye to my soul, flee as a bird to your mountain."
Psalm 11:1
love Deb
