OUR FATHER
"After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen." Matthew 6:9-13
This week, i have come to know this prayer in my life and really live it. There is much going on in my family. i mentioned that i am waiting on the Lord for firm Florida plans. Well, the same day i was hearing about Florida, my sister Laur told me she is getting a divorce. Satan is an all out evil liar and he tried his best to shake me and my family that day. But our God is bigger and greater, and He is in us (1 John 4:4). His light shines through the darkness to show His face. He has plans to prosper us and not harm us(Jeremiah 29:11). Amen. Alleluia Jesus.
This prayer that Jesus gave us to pray has much to tell us. His name is holy and when we call on Him, He is there. He will provide all our daily needs as we strive to put Him first and seek first the kingdom of God and all its righteousness (Matt 6:33). He will show us our part and He will take care of all the rest. When He is truly Lord of our life, and we call on Him, He will provide all we need for this day. We are not promised tomorrow and today has enough trouble of its own(Matthew 6:34). Today is the day the Lord has made let us rejoice and be glad in it (Psalm 118:34). Today, this day, seek Him and He will provide. Amen.
As yesterday unfolded and i was spending time with my Mom and sister, we truly heard God's voice and He gave us what we needed for yesterday. He gave us some insight to calm Lauri's fears and we prayed a lot. There will be painful days and tears will be shed, but with God we can do all things and be strengthened. God is so good and so awesome. i trust my whole life to Him and as my sister, Mom and nephew begin to trust Him more and more, i know they will be fine in His hands. My prayer is that they stay close to Him and go to Him first with all their needs. That they listen for His response and be patient. God bless them. Thank you Lord for your loving kindness and faithfulness. Thank you Lord that you care for us. Thank you God for your son Jesus who died for us. Alleluia, Amen.
This is my Dad, Mom, Lauri and Myles at Christmas time.
