Hello to our dear Family and Friends,

It’s Bobby. I’m writing you tonight to let you know that Dot’s Mom, Maxine, went home to be with Jesus last night around 6:00 pm Texas time. “Granny” as we all call her, is seeing Jesus face to face and receiving her crown of Glory. What a huge crown it must be.

Dot and her sisters and brother were with Granny, holding her hand and saying goodbye as she slipped peacefully from this life into life everlasting with her Lord Jesus, whom she loved SO much and served with her whole heart.

Granny taught us all, not just in words but in deeds, how to be a Christian and live for Jesus Christ. From high ranking officials, sports celebrities and the “important people” to the maids, janitors and all the “little people,” they all knew and loved Maxine.

There were two things Granny wanted to know about people: 1) Do you know the Lord? and 2) Are you hungry?

I guess Dot and I saw that as the way to live and have tried as hard as we can to follow Granny’s Christian example. She was a saint, an angel and we all already miss her so.

As Dakota and I were flying into Dallas from LA yesterday, a random song on my Ipod came up called “Dancing With The Angels,” by Monk and Neagle. As the beautiful, inspirational song played, I gazed out the airplane window at the awesome, heavenly bank of clouds and thought about Granny.

When we landed and I called Dot, she told me Granny had gone home to be with Jesus. I realized she passed about the time the song played. Here is part of it:

“You’re Dancing With The Angels, walking in new life. Dancing With The Angels, heaven fills your eyes, now that you’re Dancing With The Angels.”

Then the song talks about the great hope we have that we will see Granny again. It goes. “We’re only here for such a short time. I’m gonna’ stand up, shout out, sing hallelujah, ONE DAY I’LL SEE YOU AGAIN… and we’ll be Dancing With The Angels.”

We know Granny is Dancing With the Angels!! Hallelujah, Thank You, Jesus!!

Please keep us all in prayer, for the Lord to comfort our family and continue to give us His peace that passes understanding. For those who want to know, I will give you the service information:

Visitation with family will be Tuesday night, April 24th from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Restland Funeral Home at 13005 Greenville Ave. Dallas, TX 75382. The funeral service for Granny (Maxine Reynolds) will also be at Restland on Wednesday at 1:00 pm.

We love you all and thank God for each and every one of you, especially how you hold us up in prayer in the days, weeks and months to come.

Love,

Bobby and Dot <><
