MEMORIAL DAY

Memorial Day. The traditional American kick off of summe! BBQs, swimming, camping, families gathering together. Soon all the kids will be out of school. Yahooo!!! Graduations, vacations, camps, daycare. Things have changed a bit since my childhood. Many families are not so big and do not get together so much anymore. But, today we honor the fallen Veterans of all wars, and the wounded Vets struggling to make it here at home. We grieve for the families who have suffered loss and pray for peace. We pray for the peace which begins in each persons heart, the peace of God. A peace that can still be had and is freely given. A peace that can do anything in Jesus. Still we are a country founded on the belief in God, still a country that has some religious rights. Today, i pray for the peace which surpasses all understanding for us all. Amen.

God bless you all, and have a safe and peace-filled Memorial Day.
