THE LAST MINUTES
i heard something again today in Bible study that really hit me. It was about Apostleship. That we are to be about finishing the work of Jesus, to seek and save that which are lost. Servanthood to the one who saved us, to the one we owe our lives to. These last hours dictate the urgency that we should be moving in. We should be urgently and constantly bringing people to, and back to, the mind of Christ. To the message of the cross. So focused on Jesus that it is all we know, all we live and breathe, that our hearts reflect it in all we are.
Each day may not find us in a crowd, but each day if we pay attention there will be one or many people God puts right in our paths. Someone who needs to hear the word of God, someone who needs to know Jesus, someone who needs us to speak Jesus into their life. Someone Jesus wants us to speak to.
i have been accused of many things since being saved, self-righteous, a liar, purposely hurtful, crazy, pushy, arrogant, and so many more. It does not matter, because the only one i am here to please is Jesus. i want to hear "well done my good and faithful servant", not "i never knew you," when i take my last breath here on earth. Do not let anyone or anything discourage you in your urgency to reach the lost. Do not let anyone or anything come between you and The Lord. Preach it everywhere you are, in McDonalds, the grocery, work, the gas station, a friends house, anywhere. Fill your mind and heart with His word every moment you have, keep your eye on Him and He will keep you filled and able and ready to speak anywhere, anyplace, "in and out of season". Know His voice and follow no other. Amen.
