WOE

"Woe to the rebellious children, saith the Lord, that take counsel, but not of me; and that cover with a covering, but not of my Spirit, that they may add sin to sin." Isaiah 30:1

Woe, the opposite of blessing, consolation, gift, godsend, solace. Woe is adversity, anguish, calamity, difficulty, disease, distress, illness, misery, tribulation and many other things, but you get the picture. Given a choice, as we all are, why would anyone choose woe?

So much has changed since Isaiah's time, but so much has stayed the same. People still have the same hard rebellious hearts, the same "stiff-necks" of Moses time, the same passion for sin, still taking counsel in the latest self-help scheme or fad. Isn't it a glorious time to be alive? We followers of Jesus, we servants of Him, are called out to bring the saving message of Christ and Him crucified to those who are lost. To lead men to repentance and the glory that is our Saviour. To everlasting life and out of the pit of Hell, to the doctrine of Christ and not of devils. Amen. It never ceases to amaze me how God works in my life each and every day. How He knows who i need to talk to, and how to say what i need to say. i love the Lord God with all my heart and mind and strength, i pray i never lose heart and stay strong. Amen.
