NOTES FROM HOME

i have been laid up for two days, lots of time to pray, to think on God and His majesty. The team is in LA now, they had dinner at Coco's after crossing back over the border then headed to the Oasis. They need to be out of there by 10am this morning for the Church service that happens there. Then they will be heading for Skid Row and having a meal for the homeless there. i am sure a team hit Hollywood Blvd. last night to bring the Word to the lost there. That is always a great place to minister. i wonder if they saw Moses?

So, as i was thinking, i really realize, until the moment Jesus comes back, most average, everyday, "i'm a nice person", "i go to church", kind of people will be going on about their business as they are now Matthew 24:38-39. Then be taken away. Jesus tells us this is so. They are so unprepared for Jesus coming back. This breaks my heart, for some of my family and for all families. Living their lives for whatever they live them for, more money, nicer houses, cars, vacations, family, crisis to crisis, whatever it is, without realizing that if they die in their sin, there is no second chance. There is the realization of eternity in Hell. Thinking if they go to Church, be nice, that is all they are required to do in this life. That living for Jesus requires nothing else. But it does.

Lord Jesus help these people see, help us reach them. Send us your power and strength, your resources. They need to see you, and meet with you, and know you, and live for you. To exchange their lives for yours. To walk in repentance daily, moment by moment. But more importantly, You need to know them Matthew 7:22-23. So many people believing the lies of Satan. So many people think you are pleased with the buildings. How can they be reached in a big way, how can we tell them that they are the meeting place for God. That they are all God wants. You, me, everyone, God wants us all to have life to the full and that comes from meeting with Him in the tabernacle of our hearts. He wants to restore to us that know him the wonder of the original New Testament Church. How wonderful that was Acts 2:41-47. When hearts were full of the true fear of the Lord, and we lived that way. Amen.

Today hearts are hard and most people do not think their hearts are hard. They have all they could ever want and are in pursuit of even more. They give to charity, they are kind to children and animals, they take care of their families, etc...etc.. But that relationship with the living God, that one on one with Jesus is not there. The One and Only Way is missing from their lives. ><>

"But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience." Luke 8:15 When your heart breaks for the lost, patience is hard, but the Lord gives it... amen.
