WHO ORDERS YOUR STEPS?

"The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and he delighteth in his way." Psalm 37:23

If God orders our steps, then we are the righteous, made so by the Blood of Jesus. Because there is not one good or righteous(Romans 3:10) without Jesus. We are good men and women. Not "i'm a good person" by worldly standards, but truly die to self and take up our cross daily(Luke 9:23), servants(doulos) of God. We have great faith (the moral conviction of the truthfulness of God) in the finished work of the cross, in His living word to us, and we fear God, we have the moral dread of being displeasing to God. We are saints. We see things from an eternal perspective right now(1 John 5:11, Matthew 6:10, and John 12:25-what do you suppose Jesus meant here?) and know each moment matters as we rush to the day of our Lord's return. We know we are in the last days and are harvesters in His vineyard. We are working for Him 24/7. We are studying His word so we won't be fooled by Satan. Right?

What if our steps are ordered by our own selfish will, or the world, or Satan is ordering our steps? Remember, Satan is a subtle deceiver and the father of all lies (John 8:44). Many are in churches being lied to by Satan right now. Satan is in the churches keeping everyone happy and in the pews. Diminishing the standard of righteousness so much that we boldly justify our sin. Everything is OK and good, and "just be a good person", and sign up for another workshop, and help us build a bigger building.....and conform to the world (Romans 12:2), and..and...and.....Satan is subtle.

In Ezekiel 37:1-14 God, by the spirit of the Lord, takes Ezekiel to the middle of a valley full of very dry bones. He had Ezekiel prophesy over the bones and they came together, bone to bone, and tendon and flesh was on them, God breathed life into them and they stood up.
This is liken unto people without hope, cut off from God. When the living God is brought to people who have no hope and they put their hope in Him, when they accept the Son into their hearts and make Him Lord of their lives, the Holy Ghost can work in them and they will live. God breathes His life breath into them and they will live. How awesome is our God, and how awesome that He can use us, a sinful people, separated from the sinful nature by the finished work of the cross, as His hands and feet to Go for Him to the lost and hopeless in this dark and dying world. Let us work at bringing Jesus to the lost. Amen and praise His holy name forever and ever. Amen.

"Be not deceived, God is not mocked, for whatsoever a man soweth, that he shall also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption, but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting." Galatians 6:7-8

What are we sowing and what shall we reap? When we, self professed believers, face the final judgment of God, it will not be for sin, (do you hear this?) because Jesus paid the debt of sin in full on the cross of Calvary. All of our sins were nailed to the cross with Him when we confessed our sins and came to Him in Godly sorrow to repentance. Then, the second part of the victory at the cross is He broke the yoke of the dominion of the sin nature that was over us. We are (or should be) walking in righteous repentance daily. Taking up the cross, crucified, following Him, daily. Do we see that? We are new in Him... (Galatians 2:20) What are we doing with the new life Jesus won for us? Are we worthy of Eternity with Him? Why? Don't we think we should know? Because on that Day of the Lord there will be no excuses, no do overs or take backs, no blame shifting, the judgment will be final, each one his own.....Heaven or Hell...

Getting into His word daily will help you know Him and what he expects of you and the new life he died to give you. Do not wait another minute. Don't you think that is the least we can do, sacrificing our time and life for him, our reasonable service? (Romans 12:1) i think so.
