BIBLICAL LOVE

There are so many teachings in the Bible on how to love within the body of Christ. i have been studying some. Praying through them.

"Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice; and be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you."
Ephesians 4:31-32

bitterness=pikria=bitter hatred

wrath=thumos=hot anger, passion (an agitated condition of the feelings)

anger=ogre=originally any natural impulse or desire, or disposition, came to signify anger as the strongest of all passions. It is used of the wrath of man. Suggests a more settled or abiding condition of mind, frequently with a view to taking revenge.

clamour=krauge=crying out, shouting, verbal brawling

malice=kakia=badness in quality, vicious character

"And above all things have fervent love among yourselves, for love shall cover the multitude of sins." 1 Peter 4:8

fervent=ektenes=strained, to stretch out, stretched

"Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another and be clothed with humility, for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble." 1 Peter 5:5

humble=tapeinos=of low degree, lowly, humble in spirit

proud=huperephanos=showing oneself above others, arrogant disdainful, preeminent

i am trying to be less as Jesus becomes more in me. Please pray for me...amen.
