THE SPIRIT OF GOD

God in the third person of the trinity, the Holy Ghost, neither male or female, masculine or feminine lives in each believer. When we die we will neither marry nor be given in marriage, we will be like angels (Luke 20:34-36). Our Spirit attests to that truth right now. God quickens the truth within us. Jesus left the Holy Ghost to indwell us, to teach us, to bring us to all truth and speak through us. The Father gives the Spirit to them that ask (Luke 11:13). When the Holy Spirit of God comes upon us in power(Acts 1:8), we know who we are in Christ Jesus and what we are here for. We are a witness to him, a vessel (2 Corinthians 4:7) for him, and our Spirit witnesses of his presence to others. The Spirit of the sovereign Lord is upon us and has anointed us to preach Good news, the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ (Luke 4:18-19), to the uttermost parts of the world.

Our life in earthly bodies of flesh and blood and bone are but a vapor (James 4:14). Our lives are not our own. We are given one most important choice to make, what side of judgment will we be on? Will we choose God or the devil, heaven or Hell, eternal life or eternal damnation? There is no middle ground, no lukewarm, everyone must choose (Joshua 24:15) or be spewed (Rev 3:16) out of Gods mouth, never known (Matthew 7:23) by Him on the Day of the Lord. Everything else, well it just does not seem so important to me. All of life's little details, i know God will supply them and reveal them to me as i need them. His time is all good with me as i align my will to his. i know who i am in Christ Jesus and why i am here. Here on this earth, here in Daytona, just here. Do you?

Sometimes i can see why Monks set themselves apart on a hill, to get rid of the worldly influences and superfluous junk of it all. The things that cloud our view of God and distract us from what we are here for. i know monasteries are not the answer, but the times i have spent at them have been a blessing to me and my walk with God. Some monks even evangelize!!

Life is short, stay in the Word of God, pray hard and witness of His presence to all you meet. Amen.
