A HIGHER STANDARD

"So shall they fear the name of the Lord from the west, and his glory from the rising sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him." Isaiah 59:19

Isaiah 59 talks about the iniquities that had separated the Israelites from God, the sins that had caused God to hide his face from them that he can not hear them. This hard heartedness ended up being a catastrophic event which was Israel being cut off from God after rejecting the Son. This opened up the Age of Grace or Age of the Gentiles. Now it is our time.

Today our standard must be Jesus. If we lift up Jesus all men will be drawn to Him (John 3:14). We must strive to be like Him in our lives, in all we do, think and say. Righteous, holy, obedient and set apart. Praying without ceasing for God to guide our every footfall so as not to stumble or cause someone else to stumble. Pray unceasingly for those who need salvation and release from all kinds of bondage to sin.

i want to blog what the Lord has been showing me since my fast in January.. God is good and mighty. He takes us as deep as we are willing to go. As we seek His face he reveals Himself to us. Amen...
