WHAT'S NEW?

Nothing is new under the sun...Ecclesiastes 1:9...The world is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. Sin is still sin enlarging hell and the remnant of believers follows hard after Christ in working to enlarge the Kingdom of God. How is the Body of Christ functioning where you are at? Is it healthy, alive, nourished and reproducing after its own kind? What kind is that exactly (John 15:5) ? Is it continuing steadfastly in the Apostles Doctrine, and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers (Acts 2:42)? Is it exhorting (stirring up) and edifying (building up)Ephesians 4:12-14, are we solid? Hows that working for ya?

i sometimes seem to be stuck in slow gear when it comes to reproducing....winning souls...enlarging the Kingdom for God's glory. Why is that? Well, i could make up all kinds of excuses, but none would hold a candle to what Jesus did for me. None can excuse me from not giving Him my all, 100% of my "self" to the life He wants me to live (Luke 9:23, Matthew 4:19). i am most probably lacking in prayer and studying the word. Not living in God's love as i should be, cause nothing works without God's love. This will keep me from walking in the power (Acts 1:8) and the strength for the greater things (John 14:12) i can do in Him. i know that.

i am blessed to be part of the Body of Christ and in a family that meets regularly. i am working on loving everyone more than myself (1 John 2:10, Romans 13:8), all the same (Acts 10:34, Proverbs 28:21), all the time. To cover each one with love in all situations whether i am with them or not, that God is glorified (1 Peter 4:8). Love does that. The love of God loves the body and the lost souls without hesitation and without any partiality at all. Protecting from harm from within or without. Gods love makes us who we are and we could never be His on our own. Gods love never fails (1 Corinthians 13:8). Amen.
