HOLINESS AND TRUTH

BECAUSE we are Holy as He is holy we must live a relentless pursuit of the Truth. As professed followers of Jesus, we have an obligation to the truth. To Truth in our desires, Truth in Life, Truth in Speech. We need to love God and love the truth.

"Lord, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? Who shall dwell in thy holy hill? He that walketh uprightly and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart." Psalm 15:1-2

"O send out thy light and thy truth, let them lead me, let them bring me unto thy holy hill and to thy tabernacles." Psalm 43:3

You see, the light will amplify untruth, it will bring us to a place of choosing. A place of blessing if we choose Jesus. Because God exposes the darkness in blessing us. God exposes our darkness in the light of his Son, Jesus.

"Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities." Acts 3:26

Truth is needed in ALL our relationships, in every area of our lives, all the time.

"Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts, and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom." Psalm 51:6

Truth is needed most importantly in our relationship with God because he has made us holy. They are inextricably linked. God, Holiness, Truth and how we treat our brothers and sisters. Lives lived in him and for him, and him alone. Amen.

"For by one offering he hath perfected forever them that are sanctified." Hebrews 10:14

"Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature, old things are passed away, behold, ALL things are become new." 2 Corinthians 5:17

In one offering, the death and Blood of Jesus, we have been made Holy and Perfect. Sin or iniquity is against our new nature. Sin will run aground upon the living word in our heart because we are filling ourselves with it. We are holy, sanctified, perfect in Him, set apart in the Lord and for the Lord. We now walk in holiness and truth because God tells us to, plain and simple. We do all things in Christ, we do all good things because we are sanctified, made holy.

"But speaking the truth in love may grow up into him in all things which is the head, even Christ." Ephesians 4:15

As we head into perilous times ahead, we must be on guard all the time and be aware that Satan is out there seducing the weak. He is the father of all lies and wants to keep people in the darkness doing his will not God's.

"Ye are of your father the devil and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own for he is a liar and the father of it." John 8:44

This is Jesus speakingto a crowd of Jews. Do not let this be said of any of us who claim to know Jesus. Remember, a little leaven will leaven the whole loaf (1 Corinthians 5:6, Matthew 16:6,) either way. ONE lie, ONE untruth in our life can be our downfall. We must walk in total holiness and truth with our God. Truth will lead to the Kingdom of God (Luke 13:21, Matthew 13:33). Amen..God bless you and lead you to all truth, wisdom and understanding.

"Buy the truth and sell it not, also wisdom and instruction and understanding." Proverbs 23:23

"All the paths of the Lord are mercy and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies." Psalm 25:10

"Teach me thy way O Lord, i will walk in thy truth, unite my heart to fear thy name." Psalm 86:11
