A DAY IS LIKE..

i blog a lot about what the Lord teaches me in His word. i thought you may like to know what a day is like for me here in Ormond Beach, Florida. i work at the Sleep Inn as the front desk clerk on Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. My hours were just reduced from 5 days to 4. My hours are from 3pm-11pm but i get there at 2:30pm to change shifts. God has provided jobs for me here, where i am free to be a witness of our Lord Jesus, where i am free to be at church, the Tuesday night broadcast, our upcoming Revelation study and i know he will provide for our upcoming discipleship on Sunday nights. His ways, His timing, His character are all perfect and i trust in Him.

Each day, the Lord puts a new someone before me. Does each one choose salvation and eternal life with Jesus? No, i am sorry to say they all do not. But i am faithful to who he puts there and i share the Gospel with each one. It may be at work, at Wal-mart, Subway, or out on the street over the weekend, but God has someone, and for each willing heart i will tell about the saving work of His Son on the cross.

i spend time each day in prayer and in God's Word. i fellowship each day with my brothers and sisters here and across the country, either in person, by phone or text. God is always faithful and his character is perfect. i strive to be like Christ each day. My faith and trust in God is total, in all my needs he never lets me down, or fails me. i have grown to know what God says is true all the time, what he has written down is true today, yesterday and forever. i exist to do His will each day and to grow in his character. That is all, not veering to left or right on the high road (this could be another blog..Deuteronomy2:27), but making my way down the narrow way(Matthew 7:13-14). God makes way straight, amen (Proverbs 3:5-6). My life is entirely His as i wake and sleep, sit and stand, lie down, walk, eat, talk, sing and breathe. i am here to bring the Gospel of Jesus to a lost and dying world. i am blessed to have like minded brothers and sisters around me to encourage me and love me and i them. Amen.

In need or abundance i trust in God. In joy and in sorrow i trust in God. In all things i trust in God. It is the only way to live this life he gave us. Faith grows in believing and trusting. Amen.

"Not that i speak in respect of want; for i have learned, in whatsoever state i am therewith to be content. i know both how to be abased and i know how to abound; every where and in all things i am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. i can do all things through Christ which strengthen me." Philippians 4:11-13

"Therefore take no thought, saying What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? for after all these things do the gentiles seek; for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you." Matthew 6:31-34

Believe it. God's word is true. More true than anyone or anything in this life. Amen.

"Thy word is true from the beginning and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth forever." Psalm 119:60
