TIME TO DIE

Sweetly Broken

To the cross I look, to the cross I cling
Of its suffering I do drink
Of its work I do sing

For on it my Savior both bruised and crushed
Showed that God is love
And God is just

Chorus:
At the cross You beckon me
You draw me gently to my knees, and I am
Lost for words, so lost in love,
I’m sweetly broken, wholly surrendered

What a priceless gift, undeserved life
Have I been given
Through Christ crucified

You’ve called me out of death
You’ve called me into life
And I was under Your wrath
Now through the cross I’m reconciled

Chorus:

In awe of the cross I must confess
How wondrous Your redeeming love and
How great is Your faithfulness

Chorus 3X

Jeremey Riddle

We have been talking about the Cross, especially now before Mardi Gras when the flesh needs to be completely crucified with Christ. We need this discipline every day, the Cross of Christ. To come to that same place of decision daily where we want to bring the lost to, and make our decision each day, to pick up our cross each day and follow Him. We must leave all our sins whatever we choose to call them...(the list is endless) burdens, idiosyncrasies, worry, doubt, stress, lack of respect for authority, possessions, flat out rebellion, our very lives, all that is not of God we need to leave at the Cross of Christ. Only to pick up again that which He commands we pick up for Him. For His work, for His glory, for his Kingdom. Amen..

"
Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the father but is of the world." 1 John 2:15-16

All our sin is wrapped up in these three packages...all we hold onto that is not of God. Are we willing to risk eternity for the short, temporary and temporal pleasures these sins bring? i am not.

This world is not our home, it is Satan's domain and if we do not renounce it, and come to Jesus, on our knees, with all our heart, mind, soul and strength, we will perish for eternity. Only with the eyes of Jesus can we truly see as He sees. Truly walk in this vapour of a life with the joy and peace of eternity, and bring it to others.

To testify, we must die.

"Verily, verily, i say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone, but if it die it bringeth forth much fruit." John 12:24

So die and testify.

"And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony and they loved not their lives unto the death." Revelation 12:11
