SEMPRE FI

With its root in the Latin, SEMPRE FIDELIS, or as the Marines say, SEMPER FI, means ALWAYS FAITHFUL. Not sometimes faithful, not just when we feel like it faithful, not just when the going is good faithful or around certain people faithful, but ALWAYS faithful. Who or what are we always faithful to?

ALWAYS=invariably, perpetually, forever (Bible references- 337)

FAITHFUL=keeping faith; maintaining allegiance; constant; loyal, marked by or showing a strong sense of duty or responsibility; conscientious, accurate; reliable; exact (Bible references-205)

UNFAITHFUL. (Bible references-95)

FIDELITY=faithful devotion to duty or to one's obligations or vows; loyalty; faithfulness (Bible references-17)

INFIDEL= an infidel would be the opposite, not faithful to duty or to ones obligations or vows. Not loyal, not faithful (Bible references-2)

ZEALOUS=full of, characterized by, or showing zeal; ardently devoted to a purpose; fervent; enthusiastic (Bible references-41)

ZEALOT=a person who is zealous, esp. to an extreme degree; fanatic. Among the ancient Jews, a member of a radical political and religious sect that openly resisted Roman rule in Palestine. (Bible references-4)

LOYALTY=the willingness to make a personal sacrifice to strengthen a relationship.(Bible references-18)

"O love the Lord, all ye his saints, for the Lord preserveth the faithful and plentifully rewardeth the proud doer." Psalm 31:23

The Bible teaches that you cannot serve two masters. Love God and what is good, and hate the devil and what is evil. Or love the devil and what is evil, and hate God and what is good. We cannot have it both ways. We cannot love God and love Satan, we must choose. We must choose where our love is, loyalty is, where our fidelity, faithfulness, our zeal and zealousness lie. To who or what do we give our lives? God or Satan. Because each demands our all and will ultimately decide our eternity. THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT CHOICE WE WILL EVER MAKE.

"NO man can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will hold to the one and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon." Matthew 6:24

Time is short and some may think it is too late for them to serve God. My friends, it is never to late until you take that last breath here on earth. No matter what you have done, Jesus died for you, to reconcile you to a holy and righteous God who is waiting for a relationship with you.

It is time to choose God, choose Jesus in ALL fidelity, faithfulness, and zealousness. We could add fervently, and abiding only in him, loving him with all our hearts minds, and strength. Always seeking and walking in his will in our lives.

It is time to come to know the fear of the Lord, and because we would rather die than displease him, come to a Godly sorrow that leads to repentance (turning away) for all the sin in our lives, for all the sorrow we have brought to our holy and righteous God. Time to fall on our knees and cry out to a holy and righteous God for forgiveness of our sins and know he will hear and answer when we come with a broken and contrite heart. He will hear you.

God is always faithful, even when we are not.

SEMPRE FI TO GOD, AMEN
