TRUST IN GOD
i trust God so much that it brings me to weeping. That he knows every hair on my head and all things from beginning to end, it brings me to weeping. That he holds the world in his hand, and my family, friends, brothers and sisters, and the lost, it brings me to weeping. The enormity of God, the omnipotence, the omnipresence, the omniscience of Him, brings me to weeping. That God is Holy above all else, set apart, sovereign, brings me to weeping.
Who am i that God should care for me and every detail of my life? Yet he does. Who am i that God should hear each cry of my heart? Yet he does. Who am i that he should dry each tear i cry? Yet he does. Who am i that he should pick me up EVERY time i fall? Yet he does.
i feel in my heart to say this, yet i know i cannot do it justice: our God is the Holy God, his name is holy, he is set apart from us and yet lives in us. God, the I AM, in his holy mercy is the meeter of all our needs, the answer to all our prayers, the end to our faith and hope and trust in him. God always was, is and ever shall be. Each individual aspect of God's character as we struggle to understand them, each one is holy above all else. God is holy in his love, mercy, grace, forgiveness, justice, and every other character trait he teaches us in his word. We can only hope and pray, have faith and trust, that as we live our lives in the love of God that he will help us to be holy as he is holy.
The Word of God says.. "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him and he shall direct your paths." Proverbs 3:5-6
This trust in God with all my heart comes from a life built on Faith (Romans 10:17, Hebrews 11), Hope (1 Tim 1:1, Hebrews 6:19) and Love. It comes from His love for me, which came first (Matthew 22:37-40, Matthew 5:44), and my love for him (Matthew 22:37).
God says, "And now abideth faith, hope, love, these three, but the greatest of these is love." 1 Corinthians 13:13 Love it the greatest because it is how we live out our faith and hope in Him. A life built on God, who is love and Jesus Christ who is the hope of glory. 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 was not put there for God, it was put there for us. Love is an action word, a way to be like Jesus in this lost and dying and dark world. Love is the action word of our faith and hope and trust in God. These words should be lived out in each heart of a Christian..patient, kind, does not envy, does not boast, is not proud, is not rude, is not self-seeking, is not easily angered, keeps no record of wrongs, does not delight in evil, rejoices in the truth, always protects, trusts hopes, perseveres, never fails. These words must be taken into the heart and lived out in the life of EVERY Christian. God is love, that is who he is and who we should be.
The love of God in me moves me with love and compassion (Matthew 9:36) to live out the life he has for me, to live his will in me. Without fear, condemnation or death Romans 8:1, John 3;19). No man can take that from me (Romans 8:35-39). A life that will last forever with Him in eternity. A life i live here and now, with my eyes on eternity, with a God perspective in faith, hope and trust in my God. God loves me so much that i shall not perish but have eternal life (John 3:16)
If our faith and hope are in God and in the eternal life Jesus has won for us, then our lives should be marked by the way we live them in the love God has shed abroad in our hearts. With each breath we take, each step we take, it should be in the love of God built on faith and hope in Him. Trusting Him.
FAITH=pistis=firm persuasion, a conviction based upon hearing, trustworthiness, a firm conviction producing a full acknowledgment of God's revelation or truth. (The moral conviction of the truthfulness of God)
HOPE(noun)=elpis=favorable
HOPE(verb)=elpizo=to trust, on whom we set our hope.
Trust in God. Cultivate and grow in faith and hope to the day of Christ our Lord. Keep doing the work God has for you. Rest in his joy and peace as you do it. May God bless each work you do in Him, amen.
