FORSAKE SIN FOR JESUS, FOR A PURE HEART, FOR THE HOLINESS AND RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23
JESUS IS THE WAY, THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE...FOREVER AND EVER , AMEN..
"There is a way which seemeth right unto a man but the end thereof are the ways of death." Proverbs 14:12 and Proverbs 16:25
Sin is a transgression against the righteousness of God. Rebellious actions against a holy and righteous God causing us to miss his purpose for our lives. Sin is surrender to the power of the evil of Satan rather than to the holiness and righteousness of God. Sin separates us from God.
SIN IS DEATH.
"As it is written, There is none righteous no not one. There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable, there is none that doeth good, no not one." Romans 3:10-12 and Psalm 14:1
We hear people all the time say "i'm a good person". BUT, man is inherently evil (A quality that is inherent is a permanent part of a person's nature or essence), born that way, born in sin with a sin nature (Psalm 51:4-5, John 3:6, Romans 5:12). Not one is born good. Only the blood of Jesus can wash away our sin and make our works unto him good in his eyes. Without Jesus there is no goodness, no righteousness, no walk after the Spirit (Romans 8:1-2). Acts of benevolence in themselves do not make us good, they are filthy rags in God's eyes. They make us feel good about ourselves but they are no substitute for or gauge of our salvation.
"....Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord of hosts, the whole earth is full of his glory." Isaiah 6:3
GOD ALONE IS HOLY....AMEN
'Follow peace with all men and holiness without which no man shall see the Lord." Hebrews 12:14
The holiness of God speaks of His separateness, his uniqueness. God is absolutely holy, absolutely separated. Holiness is a character that is unique to God's nature and the goal for human moral character. God is Holy and that holiness is in all his attributes, holy in goodness, holy in justice, holy in righteousness, holy in wrath, in love, in patience, etc. etc...
"According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world that we should be holy and without blame before him in love." Ephesians 1:4
BE HOLY!!
Holiness for us is being separated from the world and the evil thereof and separated unto the holiness and righteousness of God. It was God's plan for us from before the foundation of the world. It is a heart that wants only him and will give up everything, including our lives, to have him. A heart that is pure. Our path to Holiness leads to the cross, to death, to servanthood, to love, to life everlasting...amen
'Because it is written, be holy for i am holy." 1 Pete 1:16
Pure hearts...not mixed or adulterated with any other substance or material but the Holy Spirit of God. Pure hearts...where out of the abundance of, flows the Holy Spirit of God, flows his love, grace, mercy, forgiveness. Flows compassion and the preaching and teaching of the gospel. Flows edification of the body.
"Blessed are the pure in heart for they will see God." Matthew 5:8
PURIFY YOUR HEART!!
If a heart is not pure, it is impure.
"Unto the pure all things are pure but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure, but even their mind and conscience is defiled." Titus 1:15
Unbelief is lack of faith. Faith is the moral conviction of the truthfulness of God. Believing God in all he has written, all he promises, in all circumstances and situations, good and bad. Believing and seeking God diligently in all areas our lives for everything. Believing everything God says is true. Unbelief means an impure heart.
"But without faith it is impossible to please him for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him." Hebrews 11:6
If we do not believe and live by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God then we lack faith and our hearts are not pure. We don't believe the truthfulness of God. If our hearts are not pure we certainly are not holy and righteous. And that which is not of faith is sin...Romans 14:23.
CRY OUT TO JESUS. FORSAKE SIN, REPENT AND BELIEVE ON JESUS, PURIFY YOUR HEART AND LIVE HOLY AND RIGHTEOUS LIVES IN FAITH, IN THE LORD...NOW IS THE TIME OF SALVATION. AMEN.
