WHO ARE MY MOTHER AND BRETHREN??

"While he yet talked to the people, behold, his mother and his brethren stood without, desiring to speak with him. Then one said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to speak with thee. But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother? and who are my brethren? And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren! For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother and sister and mother." Matthew 12:46-50

Does anyone think this made Jesus sad? That just a handful of people got it? Just a handful, a remnant will be saved?  Will do the will of God in their life? Will even hear his voice even once?  i do. It is never so apparent as in the family, blood and spiritual. My heart is breaking for my family and i have to let it go and lay it at Jesus feet. i must continue to do the will of my Father and pray. i refuse to compromise.

"And his sisters, are they not all with us? Whence then hath this man all these things? And they were offended in him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, save in his own country, and in his own house. And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief." Matthew 13:56-56

THEY WERE OFFENDED AT HIM.  The truth convicts, it makes people squirm and get defensive. The things of the world are the greatest distraction. Satan has people right where he wants them, so twisted in their minds and hearts. In a woeful state of compromise. Truly calling evil good and good evil (Isaiah 5:20), "Woe unto them". The heart, patience and focus it takes to just have a conversation, to write and read a letter, all but lost in our youth and most parents today.  Replaced with mind numbing video games and texting. i am so sad and broken today, Lord, yet i know your peace and joy in it.  i love you so much.
