"THOU SHALT NOT KILL"

When i hear of "Christians" stocking up guns, i always wonder why? Why would a follower of Christ even consider killing another soul in this life? Do they truly believe that GOD will tell them to? Do they truly believe that GOD will tell them to "defend" their family, their home, their city by killing another soul?? Really? i believe GOD's word is clear on this issue of killing, no matter how we choose to justify it in our minds. i know many will justify it with Old Testament commandments by GOD directly to his people to kill and destroy, but that would be in error. Since the time of JESUS, when has a whole nation truly heard GOD and been sanctioned by GOD to go to war and kill? GOD says: "Thou shalt not kill" Exodus 20:13, Deuteronomy 5:17, Matthew 5:21. Umm, seems crystal clear to me, this means what it says, do not kill. GOD says: Fear GOD, do not fear what man can do to the mortal body, Psalm 56:4, Psalm 118:6, Hebrews 13:6. GOD says do not fear the destruction of your mortal body but fear him which is able to destroy both your soul and body in hell, Matthew 10:28, do you think the sin of murder goes unnoticed by GOD? GOD says: when we die we will be present with him and be judged for what we did in this body, 2 Corinthians 5:6-10, and that wars, fighting and killing come from the heart, James 4. Wars, fighting and killing throughout AD history starts in the heart of man that is not right with GOD. Amen.

i know there will be "Christians" who will argue this issue to the death in favor of killing, and will justify it all kinds of ways, but i believe the thousands of tortured, burned, heinously killed Christians around the world who stand in holiness and righteousness while seeing their families killed before them would agree with me. If you are assured of your soul with GOD for eternity, then the death of the body is not to be feared. We stand in holiness and righteousness in Christ and proclaiming Christ, even unto the death. Amen. Something to think about.

JESUS SAVES
