Stabbing Death in Daytona Beach Ministry Area

DAYTONA BEACH -- Police said the stabbing death of a 16-year-old South Daytona girl behind the Daytona Beach Bandshell early Sunday was a case of the wrong place, wrong time and wrong group of friends.

Munsch

North

Beck

Mobbs

Daytona Beach Police Chief Mike Chitwood, backed by a dozen investigators during a press conference Sunday afternoon, announced the arrest of three South Daytona gang members for what he called the "cowardly, despicable, and sickening" murder of Robyn Munsch.

Munsch was pronounced dead at the scene just before 1 a.m. from a single stab wound that pierced her breast bone, the chief said.

Chitwood said investigators have charged Raymond North, 23, with premeditated first-degree murder. The chief said North, a "certified" member of the Crips gang, plunged a switchblade knife into Munsch's chest during a melee involving six to eight people just after midnight Saturday.

North also is accused of stabbing 22-year-old Desiree Juras and Jordan Hess, 18, both of South Daytona. They were treated at Halifax Health Medical Center with wounds not considered life-threatening.

Also arrested Sunday were Carl Beck, 20, and Dallas Mobbs, 20, as accessories after the fact for their role in the fight, Chitwood said. That included helping North escape from the scene.

The chief said all the people involved knew each other and some were at a party in Holly Hill on Saturday night. The fatal fight was sparked by a back and forth of text messages between Hess and a 19-year-old, Dustin Lind, about an unidentified juvenile girl. They agreed to meet behind the Bandshell at 70 N. Ocean Ave. to settle their issues.

"It is hard to believe a 16-year-old girl goes to a party then loses her life on the Boardwalk," Chitwood said.

Chitwood said investigators suspect North, Beck and Mobbs did not attend the party but showed up at the Bandshell to back up Lind as he defended himself against the perceived disrespect shown by Hess.

Beck was armed with a .380-caliber pistol, which he displayed but did not fire, and North had a switchblade knife, police said. The murder weapon was recovered at the scene.

The stabbings occurred as the victims were apparently beating Lind, the chief said.

After the attack, the suspects went back to their South Daytona apartment to coordinate a story to tell police. Chitwood said the three threatened witnesses with violence if they spoke about the fight.

He said while the stabbings were not specifically gang-related, the chief believes North, Mobbs and Beck, took the situation as an "opportunity to show how violent they are." Police said all three are affiliated with the Crips gang, considered one of the largest and most violent street gangs in the U.S.,

However, the first thing they did when confronted by officers at that their Bristol Bay apartment was to ask for their mothers, Chitwood said.

"A 20-year-old snuffs out someone's life and then is crying for his mommy," Chitwood said. "That is how tough they are."

All three suspects have several felony criminal arrests, Chitwood said.

"Beck just got out of jail four to six weeks ago for (what) I believe was identity theft," Chitwood said.

Records show Beck served two years in state prison for purse snatching, grand theft, credit card fraud and trafficking in stolen property.

The chief said his department's investigation is continuing and more charges are expected.

Chitwood said investigators were told Munsch was a "good kid" who has had some tough breaks. The 16-year-old attended Atlantic High School last year but was home-schooled this year. Her father died last year and her brother returned from Iraq wounded, and is currently being treated for his wounds.

A family friend, who declined to give his name, echoed the chief's description.

"She had a heart of gold," the man said while standing outside Munsch's grandmother's South Daytona home. "She would never do anything to hurt anybody and loved her pets and her family."

JEANS FOR JESUS

What if YOU could help put 400 Warriors for Christ on the Mission Field?

Dear Friends,

When we trust in Jesus and work together, we can do more than we could ever imagine! That is what we have found in nearly 20 years of taking the love of Christ and the message of the Cross to hurting people across this nation and beyond.

It was 2003 when our ministry changed, and our lives along with it! Having served a local church for nearly 14 years the Lord challenged us to move into a whole new dimension of faith. He began to show us that what had been im-possible through our best and most sincere efforts could now become Him-possible if we would only obey. So, we decided to obey, and we have seen God do some amazing things, and change thousands of lives ever since! The Jeans for Jesus Project is one of those “acts of obedience” that we believe is another means to impact many people for His Kingdom.

Our teams have taken emergency relief into areas decimated by natural disasters. We have impacted housing projects and have had Police officers say to us, “Thank you for coming to this area. You cannot know how big of an impact you have made.” Children, the elderly, and those living on the streets have also been greatly touched by the work of the ministry as the Body of Christ has banded together to help those in need. The Jeans for Jesus Project is another way to do even more!

HOW THE JEANS FOR JESUS PROJECT WORKS – from OUR end
We collect donated jeans from churches, civic groups, Sunday school classes, sports teams, schools, and even individuals, with a love offering in the pocket of each pair collected.

These jeans and offering then become a resource to minister to thousands of people through food, clothes, and the ministering of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

  • Our Conviction is that there are many people who are in desperate need—both physically and spiritually.
  • Our Passion is to touch those lives by whatever means necessary to show them that there is still hope.
  • Our Commitment is to “Do as much as we can with as much as we have” and as God brings the increase we will go further in reaching out to those who are the most desperate.
  • Our Vision is to use this as a resource to spread the message of Jesus.

HOW THE JEANS FOR JESUS PROJECT WORKS – from YOUR end
  • Coordinate and Promote a Jeans for Jesus Campaign within your Church, Youth or Senior Ministry or other organization - you can contact us for ideas on how to have the most success!
  • Recommend Jeans for Jesus to others you may know - together is how we make the biggest difference!
  • Become a Monthly Financial Supporter of the Ministry - when you “give” it allows us to keep “going” to the most needy!
  • Volunteer for one of our outreach teams - You will see for yourself what your investment is doing and you’ll see your life changed too!
  • Pray for us - that is what strengthens us, and carries us through the difficult times!

THIS TERM’S PROJECT WILL HAVE FOUR PRIMARY TARGET AREAS:
Jeans for the Homeless -- These are literally life-savers for many people living on the streets. We will be distributing jeans as well as other winter clothing in these primary areas:
“The Tenderloin” - San Francisco, CA
“Skid Row” - Los Angeles, CA
Housing Projects - Raleigh/Durham, NC
Housing Projects - New Orleans, LA
“Kennsington” - Philadelphia, PA
Kingston, Jamaica

Revolution Youth Training -- We are seeing a REVIVAL amongst the youth and college-aged across the country. We are now hosting special Youth Leadership Training Events designed to equip a new generation to take the Gospel into their campuses.

Mardi Gras Outreach 2010 -- Our annual outreach to the City of New Orleans has been blessed to see thousands of people come to the Lord Jesus over the years. We are expecting to put over 400 Urban Missionaries on the streets this coming February. This alone comes with a cost of nearly $25,000 - which is a small price to pay to see many come to Christ.

Raven Jamaica -- We are taking a street ministry team into Kingston in the Spring of 2010.

Remember, your help could have an EVERLASTING impact!

Many Blessings –

FALSE DOCTRINE

For two years i have been discipled, raised up in the Word of God, i have been pressing in to God and have been wahsed in the water of His word. So i was ready. i met a preacher this weekend at a church in New Orleans who is passionate about anti-abortion, complete with fake emotion and crying (he went to acting school) and he is passionate about taking back America. He preaches a kind of Nationalism. Gets people riled up. After hearing him for the third time i worked it out. What he is really preaching is "Kingdom Now" or "Dominion Theology". It is a false doctrine that says the Church is to take dominion over the institutions of the world (education, entertainment, government, social programs..etc) before Jesus can come back. It is non-biblical that man must take dominion of this earth and change it for the better before Jesus can come back. The emphasis is shifted from 'looking up' to 'looking around' to see what can be done to patch up the environment and change society into a more godly one. This doctrine is un-scriptural and should be rejected as heresy.....

This guy threw out the whole book of Revelation after Revelation 1:1 by saying that the phrase "things which must shorly come to pass" means that everything in Revelation has already happened. When in reality the term shortly come to pass means that once started these things will happen quickly. The Greek translated shortly by the phrase in quick succession, which is nearly its meaning. It implies successive order.

Kingdom Now theology is a theological belief within the Charismatic movement of Protestant Christianity, mainly in the United States. Kingdom Now proponents believe that God lost control over the world to Satan when Adam and Eve sinned. Since then, the theology goes, God has been trying to reestablish control over the world by seeking a special group of believers— known variously as "covenant people," "overcomers," or "Joel's army,"—and that through these people, social institutions (including governments and laws) would be brought under God's authority. They believe that since believers are indwelt by the same Holy Spirit that indwelt Jesus, we have all authority in heaven and on the earth; we have the power to believe for and speak into existence things that are not, and thus we can bring about the Kingdom Age.

Among the most controversial tenets of the theology is the belief that secular or non-Christian society will never succeed. Hence, Kingdom Now opposes a separation of church and state. Other beliefs include the idea that, as the Body of Christ, we are Christ. In other words, we have His divine nature. They also don’t believe in the Rapture, which is explained away as a feeling of rapture or excitement when the Lord returns to receive the Kingdom from our hands. In other words, everyone will be "caught up" emotionally when He returns. Also among the unbiblical beliefs is the idea that all prophecies regarding future Israel—both in the Old and New Testaments—are made to apply to the Church.

Kingdom Theology sees the Second Coming of Jesus in two stages: first through the flesh of the believers (and in particular the flesh of today's apostles and prophets), and then in person to take over the Kingdom handed to Him by those who have been victorious (the "overcomers"). Prior to the Second Coming, overcomers must purge the earth of all evil influences. Kingdom Now claims that Jesus cannot return until all His enemies have been put under the feet of the Church, (including death, presumably).

Although there are people who believe in some, but not all, of Kingdom Now teachings, they do have in common the ones outlined above, all of which are outside of mainstream Christianity and all of which deny Scripture. First, the idea that God has “lost control” of anything is ludicrous, especially the idea that He needs human beings to help Him regain that control. He is the sovereign Lord of the universe, complete and holy, perfect in all His attributes. He has complete control over all things—past, present and future—and nothing happens outside His command. Everything is proceeding according to His divine plan and purpose and not one molecule is moving on its own accord. “For Jehovah of Hosts has purposed, and who shall reverse it? And His hand is stretched out, and who shall turn it back?” (Isaiah 14:27). As for men having “the power to believe for and speak into existence things that are not,” that power belongs to God alone, who doesn’t take kindly to those who would attempt to usurp it from Him. “Remember this, and be a man; return it on your heart, O sinners. Remember former things from forever; for I am God, and no other is God, even none like Me, declaring the end from the beginning, and from the past things which were not done, saying, ‘My purpose shall stand, and I will do all My pleasure’; calling a bird of prey from the east, the man of my purpose from a far country. Yes, I have spoken, I will also cause it to come; I have formed; yes, I will do it” (Isa 46:8-11).

Their denial of the Rapture of the church is also unbiblical. The explanation that the rapture is nothing more than the people of God being caught up in rapturous feelings ignores the fact that such an application of the term "caught up" is strictly an idiomatic expression peculiar to English, not Greek. "I was all 'caught up' in the movie" (or other excitement) is not the equivalent of 'harpazo' in I Thessalonians 4:17, II Corinthians 12:2-4, and Revelation 12:5, used to describe the catching up bodily into Heaven, and Acts 8:39 where Phillip is bodily "caught away" by the Spirit to another location.

As for our being Christ and having divine nature, we are not Christ, although we do partake of His divine nature (2 Peter 1:4) at salvation with the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. But Christ is the second Person of the Godhead, and no one becomes God. This is a lie from the father of lies, Satan, who first told it in the Garden of Eden when he tempted Eve with “you shall be as God” (Genesis 3:5).

The idea that the Church has replaced Israel and that the fulfillment of the prophecies to Israel pertain to the church is known as replacement theology and it is unbiblical. The promises to Israel will be fulfilled in Israel, not in the Church. God’s blessings to Israel are eternal, and they are without recall.

Finally, the second coming of Christ will be when He, not men, defeats His enemies and puts all things under His feet. The description of the second coming in Revelation 19 is the description of a mighty warrior who comes to put all things to right, not of one who comes to an earth already cleaned up and ready for Him to rule. Verse 15 is clear: “And out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, so that with it He should strike the nations. And He will shepherd them with a rod of iron. And He treads the winepress of the wine of the anger and of the wrath of Almighty God.” If the earth has been “purged of all evil influences,” as the Kingdom Now-ers believe, why does He need a sharp sword to strike the nations, and why does the anger and wrath of God still exist against them?

Kingdom Now theology is another in a long line false, unbiblical, and misleading philosophies of men whose vain imaginations seek to humanize God and deify man. It is to be avoided.

Be very careful Children of God. Be prepared... False doctrines and deceivers of the brethren are everywhere... We must have our Spiritual armour on at all times (Ephesians 6) and be ready to do battle. If we are hiding God's word in our heart (Psalm 119:11) and searching the scriptures daily (Acts 17:11), we will be know false doctrine when we hear or see it. GET INTO GOD'S WORD AND GOD'S WORD WILL GET INTO YOU.

AS WE MARCH TO THE END...

As the conscience of America is being seared with a hot iron, dulled and numbed, just as the brand burned into cattle to show ownership, so are the multitudes following Satan and his doctrine of devils, his lies and deceit, being branded as his, and following him right into the pits of hell. Read about it in 1 Timothy 4:1-2.

Evil is being perpetrated against the country beginning at the very top and most people are like frogs in a pot of water. If you put a frog in a pot of boiling water he will jump out..but if you put him in a pot of lukewarm water and turn it up gradually, you will slowly boil him to death. He will just tolerates it till he dies. Lulled into a false sense of security. Compromising and justifying. Accepting lies as truth.

Obama is implementing sin after sin into law, appointing evil men to jobs in his administration, and the people are taking it. Our once God-fearing nation is now all but God-less. Truly a remnant fight against the unjust and immoral actions of a corrupt and evil leadership. Our children need to know Jesus to protect them from the evil being taught, even in school.

But all this is no surprise to those who know Gods word and follow it. Who know the evil that is coming and is already here in America. Those of us who know the love, holiness and righteousness of God continue to seek and save that which was lost (Luke 19:10). Seeking those who do not know Jesus and have a heart to, the Holy Spirit leads us to them. We do not know the day and hour of Jesus return (Matthew 24:36-42), but it is close.

There is a tribulation coming upon the earth (Revelation 8-10), and God has warned us continually, and told us all about it in his word and by His Spirit. He is just and righteous and His wrath is coming upon the earth. Those who do not hear, who harden their hearts will suffer for it for eternity (Revelation 20:15). Those who hear God, turn to him, love and live for him will be rewarded for eternity (Revelation 21).

This puts the urgency on us, the believers, the remnant, the true followers of Jesus as the disciples were, to preach and teach Jesus wherever we are. To live true to the teachings and commandments of God and of his Christ. Do not grow weary, pray, fast and eat of his word. Be filled with the Spirit to live to do his will each day, to talk to as many as you can each day.

God has written down the events that will take place before the end, do not fear (Luke 12:32), do not let anyone distract or detour you from your ministry to the lost. The victory is won already, our victory, our eternity is secure. Won by the blood of the lamb that was slain before the foundation of the world (Revelation 5:12). Rest in HIm when weary, revel in Him when in doubt, find all your courage and strength in HIm, praise Him in all things. i pray for us if we are to see the days where Christians are shipped off in box cars to Northern prisons, where we are tortured and killed in horrific ways, and if we do see these days that are coming, our God is and will be our strength, and He is with us through the death of our bodies into eternity, amen.

But more that that i pray for the countless millions that do not know Jesus, that in these days left to us we reach as many as we can with the message of life, the Gospel of Jesus, the salvation message. It is not for us who know Jesus that i weep, but for the lost. O Lord, by your grace and mercy penetrate the hard hearts and let Jesus be allowed in. Let as many as we speak to be led to you and salvation for eternity.. Lord i love you and i know you love your creation, please hear our prayers for the lost in our families and the world and give us strength to reach as many as we can, amen.

"If my people which are called by my name shall humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways then will i hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land." 2 Chronicles 7:14

If a nation ever needed humbleness and prayer, it is America today...amen...

The following is just one of the many evils being perpetrated from the top... if you believe in God then you know that homosexuality is an abomination against God and godly people. A sin against a body designed and made by God to house the Holy Spirit of a holy and righteous God. Read Romans, especially Chapter 1. 1 Corinthians 6:18-20. 1 Corinthians 3:16-18.

NOW BEFORE YOU ALL BEGIN TO SAY I AM JUDGING AND AM A GAY BASHER, HATER OR WHATEVER...THE TRUTH IS, HOMOSEXUALITY IS A SIN, JUST LIKE ANY OTHER SIN, IE: MURDER, ADULTERY, LYING, STEALING, CHEATING, BEING A DRUNKARD, ETC. IT IS A SIN AND WE TREAT IT AS A SIN, WE PREACH THE LOVE OF JESUS TO THE SINNER. WE OFFER A LIFE WITH JESUS TO THEM IN LOVE. SIN IS SIN AND GOD IS GOD. THE REMEDY TO SIN IS JESUS WHO DIED ON THE CROSS AND BORE IT FOR US 2000+ YEARS AGO. EACH MUST COME TO JESUS, INDIVIDUALLY, REPENT AND BE FORGIVEN AND BELIEVE ON JESUS. I HAVE SEEN HOMOSEXUALS SET FREE AND NEVER GO BACK JUST AS I HAVE SEEN DRUNKARDS, MURDERS, LIARS AND THIEVES SET FREE.... SIN IS SIN, SINNERS WILL NOT INHERIT THE KINGDOM OF GOD, SINNERS NEED JESUS. AMEN. 1 Corinthians 6:9. Galatians 5:19-21. Ephesians 5:3-7

U.S. President Proclaims Month of Homosexual Pride
June 5, 2009 | From theTrumpet.com

U.S. President Barack Obama has proclaimed June “Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Pride Month” to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Stonewall Inn riots, which marked the beginning of the lgbt rights movement in America.

In his proclamation on June 1, Obama declared, “My administration has partnered with the lgbt community to advance a wide range of initiatives.” He then listed the radical reforms that he pledges his support for: “These measures include enhancing hate crimes laws, supporting civil unions and federal rights for lgbt couples, outlawing discrimination in the workplace, ensuring adoption rights, and ending the existing ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell’ policy in a way that strengthens our armed forces and our national security.”

This is the highest-level, strongest endorsement the radical homosexual agenda has ever received in America. It comes on the heels of other recent victories for the movement.

Tuesday of last week, the Alameda school district in California officially decided to indoctrinate the children in its care with the same radical agenda. It approved a curriculum ostensibly designed to combat bullying but which promotes a homosexual lifestyle.

The curriculum begins innocently enough in kindergarten, where it states that children are to be taught to welcome new people, not to bully or exclude them. But by first grade, children will be taught that there are different types of families. They will be required to read Who’s in a Family? by Robert Skutch. This book talks about Laura and Kyle, who live with “their two moms,” and Robin, whose family “is made up of her dad, Clifford, [and] her dad’s partner, Henry,” along with other families. The author said that “the whole purpose of the book was to get the subject [of same-sex parent households] out into the minds and the awareness of children before they are old enough to have been convinced that there’s another way of looking at life.”

From there the indoctrination continues. In grade two, children will be required to read And Tango Makes Three, a book about two homosexual penguins bringing up a chick. They are then to be taught that different types of “parents or caregivers” can lovingly bring up a child.

In grade three, they are to watch a video titled That’s a Family, which portrays homosexual “parents” as normal. The following year, they will have to read an article written by someone brought up by two “moms” on how to tolerate homosexuals. Finally, in grade five, children are to be taught about famous homosexuals.

The overwhelming majority of parents spoke out against lgbt instruction at one of the school board meetings, according to one parent. Yet the chairman of the school board ignored them and repeatedly claimed that the curriculum was evenly supported and opposed, the parent said.

This is the curriculum in just one school district in California for now. But with his proclamation, President Obama indicates that the homosexual agenda is due to gain significant ground in the time ahead.

The pushing of the homosexual agenda is occurring not only in America. In Britain, on Tuesday a tribunal ruled that it is illegal for adoption charities to refuse to give children to homosexual couples.

The radical homosexual movement has made huge strides. For more information on where this trend is leading, see our article “Radical Social Engineering” from the July Trumpet. • END OF ARTICLE...

BURNING HEART

"And they said one to another, did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?" Luke 24:32

Jesus had risen from the dead, was alive and was seen among the living. He is alive TODAY. His blood shed for all. The word of His testimony on the road made these two hearts to burn within them. The truth was penetrating deep within them, piercing their hearts like a double edged sword (Hebrews 4:12). This is how the Word of God, still today, moves in our being. As Jesus opens the scriptures to us, as we search the word daily (Acts 17:11), our hearts burn within us. God's vision becomes our vision, God's eternal view becomes our eternal view. The holy Word of God is more than words on a page, they are the living, life changing, life-breath of God. We begin to see as Jesus saw and do what Jesus did (Matthew 9:35-36), right here, right now. i know my heart burns within me as he opens the scripture to me, how about you?

The living Word of God allows us to see with spiritual eyes, past human frailty, our own and others, and see how Jesus sees each person (James 5:20; 1 Peter 4:8). It teaches us to love as Jesus loved (1 Corinthians 13) It is a glimpse of how God sees us and loves us, and his desire that none should perish (2 Peter 3:9). It transforms (Romans 12:2) us by the power of God into more than we can be on our own, holy, righteous, ever being perfected in His image. Transforming us to do more than we could on our own (Matthew 19:26; Philippians 4:13). The truth is, the greater reality is what Jesus said, not what we see in the natural (1 Corinthians 13:12). God's word allows us to rub some of the darkness from the glass of our life, and peek through into eternity. God's word is eternal life.

When we are out in the world, the name of Jesus is all we have to stand on. When we are alone in the quiet and privacy of our home, Jesus is all we have. And that is enough. Jesus lived and died for us. When he opens the scripture before me, my heart burns. Burns to be like him, to know him more, to be with him, to hear him clearly, to see as he sees, to do as he wills, my heart burns at his presence in me. My hearts burning desire is to serve him and spend eternity with him. To live and die for him. How about you?

WHO IS CONDEMNED??

"And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world and men loved darkness rather than light because their deeds were evil. For everyone that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light lest his deeds should be reproved." John 3:19-20

"Love not the world neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the pride of life is not of the Father but is of the world." 1 John 2:15-16

God is clear about our relationship with him. What he wants from us and what he doesn't. How to be reconciled to Him through the finished work of Jesus on the cross. It has been long written down for the ages in the holy words of the Bible, it is the living word of God for us all.

Believe it or not, but do not be deceived, these days are evil and one day very soon Jesus will return (Revelation 22:20), at the day and hour unknown to us (Revelation 15:16, Matthew 24:36), and every knee will bow and tongue confess that Jesus is Lord. Each one will be judged by a Holy and righteous God for their lives.

Those who hate the light, hate Jesus, do evil deeds, they are condemned. Those who live in the flesh, who love the world and their own selves and their money more than God. Those are walking in condemnation, in darkness. i pray by the grace of almighty God that your heart is touched, your hard heart is broken and that you come to repent of your sins with a godly sorrow to Him and are saved. Cry out to Jesus. Believe on Jesus. That what is left of our vapour of a life here on earth is lived for Jesus and bringing others to him...amen. Begin reading the Bible...the Gospels of John and Matthew, the letter of Paul to the Romans. Read and know our God, hear his words for your life and pray.

"There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death." Romans 8:1-2

When we live and walk in the Holy Spirit of God, we are not condemned. When we hear God's voice and are led to all truth, our yes will be yes and our no will be no (James 5:12), and it will be God's will. We will be walking in the light of Jesus and the will of God for our lives. Amen.

"Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth is come he will guide you into all truth for he shall not speak of himself but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak and he will shew you things to come." John 16:13

We who are in Christ, will be walking in the power he left for us and we will be overjoyed to bring his love and Gospel message to others. The message of Jesus and God's plan for the world from before time began, is not to be hidden from the world, it is to be shared. Shared by us who know firsthand the great mercy and grace of our God. One who thinks that his relationship with God is only between Himself and God is deceived. It is like the servant who hid his talent while the master (Jesus) was away instead of using it to multiply its worth. He was a lazy and wicked servant, cast into outer darkness where there was weeping and gnashing of teeth, Matthew 25:14-30.

"But ye shall receive power after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you, and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem and in all Judaea and in Samaria and unto the utter most part of the earth." Acts 1:8

"Go ye therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy Ghost. Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever i have commanded you, and lo i am with you alway even unto the end of the world. Amen." Matthew 28:19

OCTOBER 2009

The time is quickly approaching for me to return to California. i know the Lord is providing me the opportunity to love on my family and new opportunities for ministry. i am most probably going to be pulling out on the 29th of October to start the approximately 3,000 mile trek. i will keep everyone informed of my whereabouts and doings as i go, by way of this blog and Face Book. The reason for this heads up is to ask prayer for the journey, beginning even now. For God to guide me and provide all needs in his mercy.

If the Lord puts on your heart to provide a donation for gas i would ask that you either: mail it to Deb Waddell, 1117 Shockney Lane, Ormond Beach, FL. 32174 OR you can donate it through the pay-pal option on this blog until the day i depart, just put my name in the item line an say it is for gas. You know i greatly appreciate all your love and prayers. Thanks..

i have been living by God's grace and mercy since coming to Florida in August of 2007. He has increased my faith enormously and i know he works in our lives through wondrous and various means. This upcoming time in my life i will continue to lean on our God for all i am worth. It will be a bittersweet time of leaving and arriving. i have come to love my family in Florida so much that it will be sad to leave. Then arriving back with my family in California will be a joyous time as well as a time of testing and trying of my faith and trust in God. Mom and Dad have special needs now and i am asking God that he give me the strength and wisdom to meet them in Him..

That's it for now...love you all...May God's grace and peace be upon you, amen.

HYPOCRISY

Hypocrisy is saying one thing and doing another, it is like talking the talk and not walking the walk. It is being a big fat liar, and no liar will inherit the kingdom of heaven. i am running into more and more "Christians" now-a-days that say they love God, say they know him, but to watch them they look, act, and speak in the flesh, just like the world God hates. i am talking about the body of believers here, not the lost.

How could God make it any clearer than by giving us His Word and His Holy Spirit? Why do people who say they love God resist and rebel against developing a relationship with Him? Why is it so hard to set that alarm clock 15 minutes earlier to spend time with the one you love more than life itself? Why can't people who say they love God cry out to Him? Fear Him? Not displease HIm? Why?

It is hypocrisy to say you know God, to say you love God and not read your Word, pray, and do what God says... "Now the Spirit speaketh expressly that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils. Speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their conscience seared with a hot iron." 1 Timothy 4:1-2

It is hypocrisy to say you know and love God, then look like, act like and love the things of the world. It makes you a liar. "Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the pride of life is not of the Father but is of the world." 1 JOhn 2:15-16

"He that saith i know him, and keepeth not his commandments is a liar and the truth is not in him....He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk even as he walked." 1 John 2:4, 6

What is the deal?

The bride of Christ, kings and priests, saints, sons and daughters of a holy God, what greater honor is there than this? Why don't we act like it? All this worldly junk will pass away, the relationships, the stuff, all of it. We are here for such a short time, an eye-blink in this vapour of life. There is no greater joy than to serve God every moment of every day and know it will last for eternity. i cannot tell you what unshakeable peace that brings, what depth of joy it reveals to a heart that truly knows God, that abides in him. To know each day is in His hands, in his control and we do not have to worry or fear for anything. True freedom, amen. Because to know God and His Son Jesus (John 17:3) is truly eternal life right now. Each day walking in the Holy Spirit and seeing my life with God's eyes and doing his will in my life. Trusting Him and in faith, knowing without a shadow of a doubt, i am his. i pray that more Christians get it, that they crack open the word, get on their knees and follow Christ into eternity before it is too late..

Serving God is a good life! All of it, through trials and victories, abundance and need, all of it is a good life, amen.

JESUS PRAYER FOR US

Just before Jesus was arrested, he prayed, as was consistent with His life and character. This whole chapter is Jesus prayer for us. Jesus prayed for us! Before he died, he thought of us. On the cross, he thought of us. His prayer was not for the world, as verse 9 says, "i pray for them, i pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me for they are thine." His prayer was for his disciples and for us who are disciples today, as verse 20 says, "....for them also which shall believe on me through their word."

JOHN 17

1"These words spake Jesus and lifted up his eyes to heaven and said:

Father the hour has come, glorify thy Son that thy Son also may glorify thee. 2 As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou has given him. 3And this is life eternal that they might know thee, the only true God and Jesus Christ whom thou hast sent. 4 i have glorified thee on the earth, i have finished the work which thou gavest me to do, 5 and now O Father glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which i had with thee before the world was. 6 i have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world, thine they were and thou gavest them me and thy have kept thy word.
7 Now they have known that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are of thee. 8 For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me. 9 I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine. 10 And all mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them. 11 And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are. 12 While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.

13 And now come I to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves. 14 I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. 15 I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. 16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. 17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. 18 As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world. 19 And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.

20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; 21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.

22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: 23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me. 24 Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.

25 O righteous Father, the world hath not known thee: but I have known thee, and these have known that thou hast sent me. 26 And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them."

AMEN, AMEN AND AMEN...THANK YOU JESUS, MY LORD, MY GOD, MY SAVIOUR...

UNCOVERED...Pastor Troy D. Bohn

“Noah, a man of the soil, proceeded to plant a vineyard. When he drank some of its wine, he became drunk and lay uncovered inside his tent. Ham, the father of Canaan, saw his father's nakedness and told his two brothers outside.” Genesis 9:20-22

Just eight people exited the Ark following the deluge which had been sent by God to destroy the wickedness which had encompassed the Earth.Noah, his wife, three sons and daughters-in-laws were it. One family was left with the responsibility of replenishing God’s creation with a people who would walk in righteousness.

You would think that leaving such a responsibility to such a tight knit group of family members would simplify things:

They were of the same family
They had everything in common
They needed one another
They had been chosen by God

Yet, not long after this righteous man and his family began the process of building a life for themselves and their posterity, Noah found himself overtaken and influenced by the very crop which he had grown, tended and harvested.

We know from the Word of God that this type of behavior was not typical of Noah. The scripture says, “Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord...Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.”

This is certainly not the testimony of a serial drunkard or someone who would make a habit out of such behavior as described in Genesis 9:20. Noah had temporarily let his guard down and found himself in a very vulnerable position.

How many of us have “found grace in the eyes of God” and have “walked with God” only to find ourselves blindsided by a situation that would cause you to do or say something which was totally out of character.

Perhaps you where in the midst of a serious spiritual battle and you lost your temper or something. Maybe you had your feelings hurt and temporarily wrestled with bitterness and resentment.

I am confident in saying that each of us have probably found ourselves not totally representing who we truly are in Christ at times! Having our faith tested. Having to go through the fire. Having to do some soul searching. These are all common things that one sees occurring in both the lives of the patriarchs and in lives of the very best and most faithful Christians today.

What is interesting to note in regards to this subject matter is the events that immediately followed Noah’s intoxicated moment. It says that as a result of this stumble, that he was left in an uncovered condition. In other words, this man who had known the grace of God and had gained the favor of God and had heard and obeyed faithfully the voice of God was left exposed by his weakness.

This uncovered condition is an interesting and revealing word in the Hebrew (no pun intended). It is the word galah which means:

“to disclose, discover or reveal something that would not typically be visible under normal circumstances; to tell, publish or disgrace someone by the use of privileged information.”

This is what the paparazzi look for when they try to catch a celebrity or other notable figure in an environment or situation that would pique the public interest or create some sort of newsworthy buzz or scandal. They galah them!

One would expect that from the paparazzi, but one would not expect that from one’s own family—especially when you were part of a small group who had been chosen by God to carry out His plan for the entire human race! But…“Ham...saw his father’s nakedness and told his two brother’s outside.”

Notice from the text of Genesis 9 that Noah was uncovered in his tent. What this speaks of is that his struggle was not a struggle of blatant sin and debauchery, but one of a personal and intimate nature.

He wasn’t out flaunting his sin, nor was he seeking to allow his uncovered state to influence or affect anyone else. The only ones that would be privy to this would only be those who would have access to his tent.

Ham’s sin against his father was not one of access into the tent of his father, but one of accusation against the character of his father.

It says that “he saw the nakedness of his father and told his two brothers outside.” There are three things that really need to be observed from this statement.

“Nakedness” not only means to be nude or unclothed, but it also means to be defenseless or to let down one’s defenses.

“Told” is not just simply a casual act of subtly giving information, but it is the act of going out and proclaiming, publishing and expounding upon something.

“Outside” means to take something to the streets or out where everyone is.

Here is how the scenario probably played out then:

“Noah had let down his defenses and was struggling in his own house or dealing with a matter in private when his son, who had access to the most personal and intimate details of his father’s life, entered into that environment. His son, rather than covering his father, instead took the news of the situation to the streets and began to gossip about it in a way that would cast his father’s character in a bad light.”

What is interesting is just how similar this story is to what I often see occurring within the ranks of the Body of Christ. Those who love and follow Jesus, regardless of Church name or denominational membership are also like a small family who have been entrusted with the message of salvation.

We have suffered through the ridicule of obeying the Lord like Noah did while he built an ark and the rest mocked.

We have endured the flood of sin in this world just as Noah endured the deluge that came down for forty days and night.

We have “found grace in the eyes of God” and have been called to walk with Him just as Noah had.

We have had to endure trials, struggles and times of letting our guard down to those we thought would cover us only to find ourselves exposed by those who had been given access to the most intimate areas of our lives, just as Noah had.

If you have been around Christian circles for any length of time you have probably heard someone asked the question, “Who is your covering?” Many people will respond with the name of their pastor or the name of their church or denominational affiliation.

When asking this question they are generally meaning, “Who is it that gives you or your position credibility” or “Who is it that you answer to.” But is this what the scripture speaks of when it speaks of covering?

I have known many people over the years who change their “covering” like they change their minds! They have moved from church to church and organization to organization every time that they are faced with a problem or with a disagreement. The reason for this change of covering is usually because they were never BIBLICALLY covered to begin with!

Let me just make one thing absolutely clear to you right now: Noah was not uncovered because his name wasn’t on the right church roll or because he was not a card-carrying member of a popular religious order. Consider this:

1 Peter 4:8 says, “Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.”

Notice that it is not a pastor, a position or a membership that covers...but it is LOVE that COVERS! This “covering” is not a covering that is as much about holding you accountable but more about holding you up!

The “covering” that 1st Peter is talking about is the kalupto covering which means, “to hide, veil, or to hinder the knowledge of a thing.”

What Noah needed was what most people in the Body of Christ today need: Someone who loves them deeply enough to stand in the way of their struggles, to encourage them in times of difficulty and to be a place where they can “let down their guard” without the fear of that person “taking their problems or struggles” outside like Ham!

Look how Noah’s other two sons handled the situation once their brother Ham “uncovered” their father:

Genesis 9:23 “And Shem and Japheth took a garment, and laid it upon both their shoulders, and went backward, and covered the nakedness of their father; and their faces were backward, and they saw not their father's nakedness.”

This is so powerful and so much reflective of how Jesus deals with His Bride, the Church.
Notice that Shem and Japheth entered into their father’s tent-not with the galah or intent to uncover and humiliate, but rather they entered with a garment or something designed

When we “love each other deeply” as instructed by 1st Peter 4:8, we will always enter into our brothers and sisters struggles or problems with a “garment” to cover their shame.

I love how it says that they too the garment and they laid it upon their OWN shoulders! Rather than bad-mouth their father or offer up their assessment of his situation, they took the situation upon themselves!

Galatians 6:1-2 “Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, considering yourself lest you also be tempted. Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.”

When Shem and Japheth saw that their brother had left their father uncovered, they demonstrated the type of love that each of us should demonstrate to one another. They went in with a garment of covering.

In this case it was a garment that would be able to “hide, veil, or hinder the knowledge of” their father’s physical nakedness. God may be instructing you to carry in the garment of faith for the person who is naked with fear, doubt and unbelief. He may be directing you to carry in the garment of patience to a person who may find themselves naked in wisdom.

Whatever the cause of the nakedness or deficiency we are instructed to allow our love for one another to become that which conceals the shame so that the person does not fall into the condemnation of the devil!

Genesis 9:23 goes on to say...“Shem and Japheth...went in backwards...and even their faces were turned the other way, so that they would not see their father’s nakedness.”

Folks, if I have ever seen a short synopsis of 1st Corinthians 13’s “Love Verses” it is right there in Genesis 9:23!

“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails…” 1 Corinthians 13:4-8

I think I could safely say, “Love always comes into the room of our lives with the right perspective!”

Sad to say—there are many more Hams in the Body of Christ than there are Shems & Japheths! Too many are ready to offer their opinion or take on the nakedness of another and leave them uncovered and unloved!

As a pastor, I saw (and still see) this type of thing happening with all too much frequency. If someone doesn’t completely agree with the way things are going in their particular church or ministry—they will uncover you with their words!

They’ll say things such as:

“You know I just don’t agree with they way they are doing this. They are really making some mistakes over there and should do it my way.”

“Yeah, That person really gets on my nerves. I just can’t stand being around them. I wish that they would just shut up sometime.”

“I can’t believe that they did that. They are so stupid. What are they thinking? I am just not going to mess with them anymore.”

“Yep! They are getting what they deserve! Maybe this will teach them a lesson. I never did trust them anyhow.”

Do any of these statement ring true to you? Have you found yourself operating with the Ham-Mentality of seeing your brother or sister in the Lord in a time of defenselessness and instead of covering them you instead “publish and expound” on their shortcomings and take their “nakedness” to the streets?

Proverbs 11:13 “A talebearer revealeth secrets: but he that is of a faithful spirit concealeth the matter.”

Husbands– if you find yourselves constantly complaining to your buddies about your wife—then you have uncovered her!

Wives– if your husbands shortcomings are the topic matter of you and your friends gripe-sessions—you have uncovered him!

Friends– if you find it easy to discuss the struggles of your brothers and sisters in the Body of Christ—then you have uncovered them!

James 5:19-20 “My brothers, if one of you should wander from the truth (become uncovered) and someone should bring him back (hide their nakedness), remember this: Whoever turns a sinner from the error of his way will save him from death and cover over a multitude of sins.”

We have the ability (and responsibility) through the perfect love of God, to serve as a covering to those who may be struggling or even those who we may just not completely understand or agree with.

We also have the capability to respond like Ham and enter into places (relationships) with the wrong heart and leave “cursed.” Gen. 9:25

The real question shouldn’t be, “Who covers you, but instead, Who loves you.”

“By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." John 13:35

IF THIS DAY WERE OUR LAST..

"I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh shall he find faith on the earth?" Luke 18:8

Faith comes by hearing....Romans 10:17

"And as it was in the days of Noah so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark and the flood came and destroyed them all. Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot, they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded. But the same day that Lot went out o fsodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all. Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed. In that day he which shall be upon the house top and his stuff in the house let him not come down to take it away and he that is out in the field let him likewise not return back. Remember Lots's wife." Luke 17:26-32.

" After this manner therefore pray ye: Our father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, in earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we for give who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever amen." Matthew 6:9-14

""But seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore NO thought for the morrow, for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof." Matthew 6:33-34

Living each day as if it were our last. Loving and serving our God with all our heart, mind, soul and strength. This day has a purpose all its own for us from our God. We just need to live it as such for tonight we may be in the eternity of our own making.

"Wherefore as the HOLY GHOST saith, today if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation in the day of temptation in the wilderness." Hebrews 3:7-8
