MERCIES

"It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning, great is thy faithfulness." Lamentations 3:22-23

This scripture is part of a song i hear often called "New Every Morning." Now i know where it originated from. It has come up four times in 12 hours for me, including part of my morning scripture reading this morning. Huh....

Mercy: Personal characteristic of care for the needs of others, from assistance in finding a bride to God's forgiveness of sin. Mercy is closely tied to the compassion and pity of family relationships which provide the image for God's mercy. (from KJV encyclopedia)

Where would we be without God's mercy and compassion. i know i would be a pretty different person. Not many people would like me. Or maybe most would. The world would like me. Maybe the person i have become in Christ Jesus is the person most people do not like or understand. Praise God!! With true confession and repentance comes the new day. New mercies and compassion. Thank you Jesus. Thank you with my life. i am yours. Amen.
