GOOD FRIDAY

Happy Good Friday. Luke 22

Jesus was arrested Thursday night and led to the palace of the high priest Caiaphas.

"As soon as it was day,the elders of the people and the chief priests and the scribes came together, and led Him into their council, saying(v66) Art thou the Christ?, tell us. And He said unto them, "If i tell you, ye will not believe(v67), and if i also ask you, ye will not answer me, nor let me go(v68). Hereafter shall the Son of man sit on the right hand of the power of God.(v69)"

"Then said they all, Art thou then the Son of God?, and He said unto them, Ye say that i am.(v70)"

With murder already in their hard hearts, they led Jesus to Pilate. Read John 18-19 or Matthew 27 or Mark 15 or Luke Luke 22:6 through 23.

i grew up Catholic and at this sacred time of the year the focus is all on the end of Jesus life on earth and His glorious resurrection from the dead. The Catholics may have many things that do not line up with the Bible and many extra man-made rituals, but this ritual of Holy Week and reliving Jesus final hours as a man on earth is one that can change lives. It changed mine, it saved me from a life of being unsaved, of living a compromising life of justification of my sin. Jesus died once for all. For all of us, for all our sin. But we have a responsibility to Him to live our lives the way He wants us to, not how we want to. To go where He wants us to, not where we want to. Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, He is our Father, Son and Holy Ghost, He is our ever living Saviour, He is our God. Give it up and follow Him. Give it all up, our lives, our families, our things, He wants it all at His feet so He can give us what He wants to give us.

Do not be distracted by anything, let's begin our days with Him and take Him with us, end our days with Him and lay it all at His feet. He DIED for us. What more could He have done? What more? He has so much to give us in His word and through His Holy Ghost. i can not understand why more people do not take advantage of all He has to give. If we profess to be Christians, then Christ is our life and we should be living for Him. If each of us were to live a life putting Him first, we would see more of Him around. He would permeate with His light through each one of us, the world where darkness now reigns. But i guess when the Book was written, God already knew even when saved, that hearts would still not really put Him first. There would be jobs, and families, and stuff. Stuff that seems more important than Him, stuff that seems like we must take care of on our own...sad....

Get into the Word. Read it, let it fill you and change you from the inside out. Discuss His word with other believers, share it with non-believers. Fill His kingdom with souls that love Him and populate the earth we have now with them. Glorify Him and praise Him always, in all circumstances. He love us so much. Today is about how much He loves us. Remember Him and love Him in return. God bless.
