GODLY SORROW

i am home from work today. Have to see a doctor about my knee. Already prayed to the healer above all healers and for the doctor who will see me. Anyway, this morning i was able to sit in on the RAVEN Institute of Ministry and Biblical Studies class on Romans. If you can't catch it live i heartily recommmend that you download it to your ipod or listen on-line to the audio supplied by Steve Ignowski. If you want a cd... let me know.

i was struck today by Godly sorrow. In 2 Corinthians 7:9-10 it says, "Now i rejoice not that ye were made sorry, but that ye sorrowed to repentance, for ye were made sorry after a godly manner, that ye might receive damage by us in nothing. For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of, but the sorrow of the world worketh death."

When our minds are renewed in Jesus (Romans 12:2). We are urged to be holy, living sacrifices, acceptable to God. To know God's good and perfect will for our lives. We can catch our sinful thoughts before they are let loose on someone or something in our words and actions. We can repent with godly sorrow in righteousness. Then we can't do what is not right in God's eyes. We turn and see what is good and right and true. We are comforted and have compassion/love to give. How awesome is that. God has had a perfect plan from forever, for everything.

If we let our sinful thoughts become a sinful action or word, then thank God, He is there to forgive us, if and when we confess and repent of them. Thank God He has made provision for sinful man to come unto Him. Amen. God has a perfect plan and i so praise Him for it all, in all things i give Him praise. Amen.

Have a blessed and God full day eveyone. Love you all.
