WHAT DO WE BRING
Every day my heart seems to be full to bursting. It at once is heavy with the knowledge of the burden to reach the lost and dying of the world, and it is full of joy with the knowledge of the salvation message of our Lord Jesus Christ. The joy of walking in the righteousness of repentance is so full, that i want all to have it. Stumbling comes, but i pick myself up and move forward. It is part of this imperfect life in this sinful world. But Praise God in His glory and majesty for His infinite wisdom and love, to give us His plan of Salvation. The path of repentance to walk in each day. The daily path of death and carrying our cross. Daily dying, daily walking in the righteousness of repentance. Amen.
Praise God for His Mercy (meeting us right where we are) and Grace (The divine influence of God on our hearts and its reflection in our lives), so we saints can, in turn, meet people right where they are, and bring Him to them. Where there is hunger we bring food; hurt, healing; anger, peace; sorrow, joy; injury, pardon; doubt, faith; despair, hope; darkness, light. We bring Jesus. St. Francis of Assisi wrote a beautiful piece about bringing Jesus. Did he have it all right? No, but no one has it all right, except Jesus.
Lord make me an instrument of your peace.
Where there is hatred let me sow your love;
Where there is injury your pardon Lord;
Where there is doubt, true faith in you.
Where there is despair, let me bring your hope;
Where there is darkness, let me bring your light;
Where there is sadness, let me bring your joy.
Oh Master, grant that i may never seek,
so much to be consoled as to console;
To be understood, as to understand;
To be loved as to bring your love.
For it is in giving of ourselves that we receive,
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
and in dying we are born to eternal life.
This piece is beautiful when sung, we used to sing it in the Catholic Church. No one gets it all right except Jesus. Amen
