WEDNESDAY NIGHT MARKET
RAVEN West Coast went to market tonight. To downtown Santa Rosa to bring the Word of God. So many who "don't know nothin about God." This was one response from a boy tonight. Many try to explain their lives in "new age" terms, and know just enough about Jesus to say the right things. But under it all, the bottom line is Hell is real and many are going there. So many to reach. It tears at the heart.
But tonight we prayed for many and were a presence for Jesus in the area. Satan knew we were there. We will continue to go and fight for the souls of the lost. Please pray for Justin and Michael who heard the Word and were warned. Karen and i shared a meal with Justin. For Bill who is taking care of his friend Mike who just lost his wife. For Donna, a self proclaimed atheist and for Kim.
In Ezekiel 33:1-9 the Bible clearly tells us we are watchmen. This verse applies to all Christians. We have been made watchmen for the world. We know His truth and the judgements that will come on men. We are therefore responsible to warm men and women, to seek to turn them from their evil ways, and if we do not, we will be held responsible for their final death and what they have to face. Their blood will be on our hands. Many who are warned will not listen, they will refuse to change their ways and will die in their sin. But the watchmen having warned them, will be guiltless and no blood will be on our hands.
In Romans 1:18-19 the Bible says it another way. God has chosen the preaching of the gospel, the cross, Christ and Him crucified, to reveal His righteousness. We face the wrath of God if we withhold the word of truth that has been deposited in us. There are great consequences for knowing and not going. The message of the cross is all about Jesus, the responsibility to preach the message is all about us. The saved become the church of Christ, they are not saved to go to church.
i do not know how many ways God has to tell us to GO and preach His word. i was struck tonight by the multitudes of people who need Jesus. There are so many. i pray for more boldness in my preaching. For God to fill me with His words and Holy Ghost power. Thank you Jesus for the ones you put in my path tonight. Amen.
This is Michael
