PERFECT TOWARD HIM

"For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward Him. Herein thou has done foolishly, therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars." 1 Chronicles 16:9

Does this mean we need to be perfect? That we can reach perfection? Not by any means, not by a longshot. Amen. Praise God for that. God alone is perfect. The idea is we are complete or made whole in Him. "For all have sinned......" Romans 3:23. There is not one without sin. Hearts perfect toward Him are hearts that love him and strive never to displease Him. Hearts that know and accept the sacrifice of the cross He made so we might live. Hearts that go about His business here on earth. Hearts that rely on only Him. Hearts that trust in Him. Hearts that are moved with compassion for the lost. Hearts that have given their earthly lives to Him. Hearts that walk in righteous repentance and with repentant hearts ask forgiveness the instant we think a displeasing thought. Hearts that never cease to listen for His voice every moment of every day. Hearts broken and pierced through for the lost and their eternal fate in Hell. Hearts that forever belong to Him. When we are weak, He is strong. Amen. We are nothing without Him and we can do nothing without Him, He is our all in all. To not have perfect hearts toward Him, to not rely on Him, is foolishness and the consequences are hell. Amen.
