MY NEW HOME

i am finding "stuff" out about my new home, here in Florida, all the time. Like this fact, this area of Florida is number one in the nation for lightning strikes!! Amazing! God is so awesome. Yesterday we had a rain storm with thunder and lightning that was the most incredible i have ever seen. The rain was literally coming down in buckets and the lightning was lighting up my RV. Amazing! Living in the RV is like living on a boat. It is very cozy and you can hear the rain, thunder and lightning cracks very well. It was incredible!! Wow! We are supposed to have late afternoon thunder showers for the next 8 days or so. It is still very warm, so life usually goes on as usual, except when the rain is so intense you cant see to drive.

Florida is sooo green. It is like a tropical island. So pretty. i am in awe of all God has given us to enjoy while living for Him here. Amen. He truly is an awesome God. i have not seen an alligator yet, but am holding out hope for that soon. There are a few flying things i have not identified yet. One is a huge, about 2-3 inch thing with a yellow tail that may be a cockroach, not sure. The pelicans, sandpipers and gulls are great at the beaches. The beaches are really nice too. Even crabs live in the sand. The beaches are protected because of the turtles that lay their eggs there. You are not allowed to shine lights on the beach at night or bother any turtles.

i bought a yearly pass to drive on the beach last week. The first time i used it, i had a car full of folks, and i got stuck in the sand. It was an overcast day and rainy off and on. Well, i got stuck. It was pretty funny. A guy came along and got us out, then i got the car all parked up in the lot and we were setting up on the beach and it started to rain. Pour down rain...
in buckets, and thunder and lightning!!! We headed home and called it a day! Too funny.

Anyway, i am settling into life here in Florida just fine. Getting used to the different climate. It is much more humid here and that takes some adjusting. i really love it all though. i am blessed to be here and blessed to have a God that loves me so much. God bless you all. Have a blessed and safe Holiday today. Amen.
