"THAT GOOD PART"

"Now it came to pass, as they went, that he entered into a certain village, and a certain woman named Martha received him into her home. And she had a sister called Mary which also sat at Jesus feet, and heard His word. But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone?, bid here therefore that she help me. And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things. But one thing is needful and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her. " Luke 10:38-42

Jesus said, "that good part". Mary was sitting at Jesus feet hearing His word. Mary was being discipled...taught, learning by Jesus himself and that would not be taken from her. WOW. No matter what was going on around her, Mary was totally focused on Jesus. Amen. That must have been something, to sit at Jesus feet. i know all our questions will be answered (1Corinthians 13:12) when we are home with Jesus. In an eye-blink we will know. Marthas need to take heed
.

For right now, this day, Jesus left the Holy Ghost in us for discernment. When we are being discipled, when we sit in discipleship we must know that it is the Holy Ghost teaching us. The living word of God, Jesus, the Holy Ghost in us is discipling us, not man. We need facilitators, we need mentors, but only the Holy Ghost will lead us to all truth(John 16:3) and give us knowledge, wisdom(Colossians 1:28) and understanding of the Word of God and his will for our lives. Amen.

We need only to have an open heart to him and casting all doubt, troubles, fear, anxieties, the full of the cares of the world, aside, and we need to sit at His feet and hear His word. We need to choose the good part. Put God first in all things, in every moment(Deuteronomy 6:5-7). ANYTHING we put before God is sin (Deuteronomy 5:6-9). It is about emptying out all that is in us, that is not Jesus in us and filling up with Him, it is about hearing the Holy Ghost and walking and praying in Him each moment. Our main focus has got to be on Him first. Then each part of our lives will reflect the fruit of his presence in us. Discipleship is about commitment and obedience to God. Amen.

A disciple is a learner. Mathetes in the greek or mathetria means female disciple(Acts 9:36), or female learner. We mathetria here on the local level are about to start an intense discipleship time together. i am asking for everyone to keep us in prayer that our hearts are open to hearing the Holy Ghost as he speaks to each of us individually and collectively on the deepest heart level. That He bring us to new levels of love and obedience in Jesus, and that anything in us that is not Jesus in us is cleansed from us. Fill us with your Holy Spirit Lord as we sit at your feet and focus only on you. Help us love and edify each other as we sit before you. Humble us Lord, search us, see if there is any wicked way in us (Psalm 139:23-24). Teach us your ways O Lord, let the words of our mouths and the mediations of our hearts be acceptable in they sight O Lord, our strength and redeemer (Psalm 19:14). Amen, amen, and amen.

i am excited at what the Holy Ghost is about to do here in Daytona Beach in me and the group of sisters i love so much. i am excited that we are coming into the accelerated end times of the world and that we are all about Jesus. God has blessed us and entrusted us with His ministry "to seek and to save that which was lost" (Luke 19:10), and as we take this seriously, we have great joy in our Saviour. As we come into another Christmas Season and face the worlds perverted view of it, i for one am glad He left me the Holy Ghost. i am grateful i have my sisters and brothers in the Lord here with me. Praise God. Thank you Jesus for everything.
