GOD'S LOVE IN ACTION

Yes, i seem to be stuck in this place of God's love...imagine that....amen.

"LOVE IS PATIENT (LONGSUFFERING), LOVE IS KIND, AND IS NOT JEALOUS (ENVIETH NOT), LOVE DOES NOT BRAG AND IS NOT ARROGANT DOTH NOT BEHAVE UNBECOMINGLY (UNSEEMLY), IT SEEKETH NOT HER OWN, IS NOT EASILY PROVOKED, THINKETH NO EVIL (DOES NOT TAKE INTO ACCOUNT A WRONG SUFFERED). REJOICETH NOT IN INIQUITY(UNRIGHTEOUSNESS), BUT REJOICETH IN THE TRUTH. LOVE BEARETH ALL THINGS, BELIEVETH ALL THINGS, HOPETH ALL THINGS, ENDURETH ALL THINGS, LOVE NEVER FAILETH." 1 CORINTHIANS 13:4-8

"And we have known and believe the love God hath to us. God is love and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. " 1 John 4;16

"Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee, let such as love thy salvation say continually, The Lord be magnified. " Psalm 40:16

"Reprove not a scorner, lest he hate thee, rebuke a wise man and he will love thee."
Proverbs 9:8

"And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet smelling savour." Ephesians 5:2

Sometimes
it is easy to see why Monks separate themselves from the world. Why they love the solitary life of prayer, praise and worship. Because loving relationships can be hard work, and walking in the true love of God is hard work too. We are commanded to love our brethren and our enemies and the lost whether we feel like it or not. God says so...... So i know i can do All things in Christ.... and the flesh must be crucified...... all right then.

The primary meaning of the word "love" in Scripture is a purposeful commitment to sacrificial action for another. In fact, loving God is demonstrated by obeying His Word (John 14:15, 21, 23-24; 1 John 5:3; 2 John 1:6).

Powerful emotions may accompany biblical love, but it is the commitment of the will that holds love steadfast and unchanging. Emotions may change, but a commitment to love in a biblical manner endures and is the hallmark of a disciple of Jesus Christ (John 3:16, 13:34-35; Romans 5:8-11; 1 Corinthians 13:4-8, 13).

Love is giving not getting (John 3:16), with God's love being the basis and the example for the expression of our love (1 John 4:7-10).

Love has specific characteristics demonstrated by godly deeds (thoughts, words and actions)
(1 Corinthians 13:4-8-imagine that, back to here!!). The test of biblical love is to do the following especially when you do not feel like it (Matthew 5:46-48).

Love is Patient (longsuffering)
Love is Kind
Love is Not Jealous
Love does Not Brag
Love is Not arrogant
Love does Not act unbecomingly
Love does Not seek its own
Love is Not provoked
Love does Not take into account a wrong suffered (think evil)
Love does Not rejoice in unrighteousness
Love Rejoices in truth
Love bears all things
Love believes all things
Love hopes all things
Love endures all things
Love never fails

By now you are ll sick of this verse, but i am still working it out...amen

i am praying and trusting God through a few characteristics right now..

Love does not take into account a wrong suffered....even when everyone seems to be against you or when people openly attack you. Love does not hold a grudge against someone. Love forgives, chooses not to bring up past wrongs in accusation or retaliation, does not return evil for evil, and does not indulge in self-pity. Love covers all sins.

For me this means let it go...let God be God...i am trusting Him with all things, and have great peace in that....amen. When i think loving thoughts, think the thoughts of God, then there is no sadness. When we walk in righteousness, great love abounds and heals.

Love bears all things......even when disappointments seem overwhelming. Love is tolerant, endures with others who are difficult to understand or deal with, and has an eternal perspective in difficulties. Love remembers that God develops spiritual maturity through difficult circumstances.

God grows us up through our relationships when we keep our eyes on Him. There is no difficulty too great to face when we keep our eternal perspective. Disappointment comes in unmet expectations...either in a circumstance or people... It is when we have our own mind set on something not of God...yep...

Love hopes all things....even when nothing appears to be going right. Love expects fulfillment of God's plan and anticipates the best for the other person. Love confidently entrusts others to the Lord to do His sovereign and perfect will in their lives.

Letting go can be hard, of a person or circumstance. Letting God be God and being expectant for His plan to play out in our lives and the lives of others. In all situations He is there, He is concerned and He loves each of us the same, He is no respecter of persons, what he does for one He can do for another...He loves us all the same, but how much we love Him can vary from person to person. How much we are willing to sacrifice of ourselves, our wills, our sin-nature....He wants it all...every single bit of us...amen.

Love endures all things...especially when you think you just can't endure the people or circumstances in your life. Love remains steadfast under suffering or hardship without yielding and returns a blessing while undergoing trials.

God is great, mighty, and all we need. Praise God and i thank you Lord for all you do in and for me each moment. i can't imagine life without you. Amen.
