The Power of One...14 April 2008

On one of the final days of Nick's visit to Colombia, he and the World Tour team was able to visit some of Colombia's poorest in a shantytown area. The poverty and conditions in this area was truly overwhelming. During that visit, a drunken man approached Nick. Nick was able to minister to that one man. After a conversation, in which the man was able to dialogue with Nick on some very real issues for him, the man headed back to his ramshackle home in the slums. But, the man returned to speak with Nick again telling him he could not help but feel a magnetism coming from Nick. He told Nick, "I've never done this before." But, he went on, "whatever it is I see in your eyes, I want that too." And, right there, in the midst of all the filth and wretched poverty, where drugs, violence, sexual immorality and all manner of things abound, God met this one man. Nick was able to tell this man about Jesus and the man asked Jesus into his heart.

In Luke 15:4, Jesus told a story about a man who has a hundred sheep and He said, "Does he not leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it?"

God did some remarkable things on the World Tour to Colombia as Nick made himself available for the work of the Lord. We'll be sharing more with you in the days to come about the wondrous things God did while Nick was in Colombia. (from Nick's site)
