GOD IN THE STORM...AMEN
There's and old seafaring phrase i learned as a child, it goes, "Red sky at night, sailors delight. Red sky at morning, sailors take warning" Being an old nautical buff and having done my share of sailing, i was delighted in God last night when at about 7:45pm i looked out the window of my RV and up through the clouds i saw this sky. There was blue around also.
"He answered and said unto them, When it is evening, ye say, It will be fair weather: for the sky is red. And in the morning, It will be foul weather to day: for the sky is red and lowering. O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times. A wicked and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given unto it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas. And he left them, and departed. " Matthew 16:2-4
When i think of God and the enormity of his grace, mercy, love and power, i do not know how people go through life without him, or once they know him, how they can backslide. To me it is that the back slider has never truly known him.
The world will say i am lucky or it is mother nature, but i know it is God's hand staying destructive effects of this storm. If you have been watching the path of this storm, i have never seen anything like it. It is like a snake and uncharacteristically gained strength over land. It started way off in the East Atlantic, it moved West over Cuba and made a turn East and passed over Florida, very slowly, South of us. It is now going off shore in Brevard County, which has sustained most of the damage. It is predicted to hit the ocean and turn West once again and hit the coast North of us about 60 miles going West once again....If this is not God, i do not know what is. You gotta bow before Him, you must worship Him and give him praise, amen. He is God almighty, the one and only God, our Father. Amen
By the way, there is another system moving North West out in the South East Atlantic.
"The LORD is slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked: the LORD hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet." NAHUM 1:3
i am in my RV this morning, praying to God, praising him, thanking him, and asking he continue to stay destruction and harm from his people...He is gracious and great, he hears our prayer when we humble ourselves and turn to him, amen...He has been with me every moment, through all the time of my life, but none so great as when i began to seek Him, none so great as when i sold it all to follow him here to Florida one year ago. i am truly blessed and i love Him more than anything. Amen.
"If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." 2 Chronicles 7:14
We are reading through the Old Testament in our 70 Hour Challenge. The Books from the beginning are full of a people that continuously turn their backs on God, grumble against Him, and defiantly rebel against Him. Too many to list. Read it for yourself. God is righteous and loving in all he does, he would never harm us. But even in the puny trials we face today, we see fit to blame God and turn away. To do things our way, not God's. How sad is that. God is the only God and Jesus his Son is the only way to him and eternal life. You must know him to enter eternity. (John 17:3) i guarantee that if you put Him first in your life, you will never ever be alone, or have a need go unmet. God bless you all....
