STUCK IN THE STORM...
The Tropical Storm named Fay, is virtually stationary now. We here in Daytona/Ormond are in eye wall. We are seeing constant rain and wind, with wind gusts up to about 50. Nothing compared to storms in Amarillo i am told. But i guess we all gauge our storms in our own ways. Some will stay, some will flee, some will prepare, some will not. Go figure.
Still, Brevard County to the South of us is sustaining even more damage. They are having major flooding, people are homeless.
Here in the RV, the mighty hand of God almighty, our Father has continued to stay the storm from damaging the home he gave me. i am so thankful and give all praise and glory to Him. It is God and God alone who brings me peace in this storm and all the storms in my life. There is no other way to live life but for Him, in Him and with Him, amen. How we handle our storms, says much about who God is in our lives. Is He first in all things?
This big tropical storm is just sitting off the coast. Stationary. You can see it at www.wesh.com
The radar tracker will pop right up and you can adjust it in to see Ormond/Daytona. It is a stubborn and persistant storm. Isn't that the case with our own personal storms? Are they not just interruptions in our routine and attempts by our flesh or the enemy to separate us from our God? Well, guess what? You can choose God every time because nothing can separate us from his love. Absolutely nothing. Amen, amen and amen.
"Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? AS IT IS WRITTEN, for thy sake we are killed all the day long, we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For i am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 8:35-39
And if we love Him,
"And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up."
Deuteronomy 6:5-7
we will keep his commands,
"If ye love me, keep my commandments." John 14:15
"If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love." john 15:10
he will be first in all parts of our lives. Is he?
"I am the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage. Thou shalt have none other gods before me. Thou shalt not make thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the waters beneath the earth. Thou shalt not bow down thyself unto them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me, And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me and keep my commandments." Deuteronomy 5:6-10
i urge all Christians to search themselves, see where there is absolutely anything in our lives where God is not first, not the owner of it. Material things, relationships, emotions, jobs, errand runs, food runs, absolutely anything. He must be the Lord of it all, or we will stay stuck in our Tropical Storm Fay...whatever it is, give it to Him now. The time is now, there is an urgency, He is coming soon. Love God and keep his commands, Amen..
