DYING DAILY FOLLOWING JESUS
Just returned from our annual RAVEN Mardi Gras outreach and am amazed at how God moves in my life in every place, in every circumstance with total consistency. Wherever i am, the presence of the Lord is assuredly with me as i live and move and have my being in him. He knows my every move and mood and he assures me of his presence in all things. He is truly everything to me. He dwells in me, he knows me and i know him. Mardi Gras is always an intense time in the Lord and now that i am home the challenges i face are altogether different. But i know in Christ i can do all things..amen.
"God that made the world and all things therein seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth dwelleth not in temples made with hands, neither is worshiped with men's hands as though he needed anything, seeing he giveth to all life and breath and all things and hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth and hath determined the times before appointed and the bounds of their habitation. That they should seek the Lord if haply they might feel after him and find him though he be not far from every one of us. For in him we live and move and have our being as certain also of your own poets have said for we are also his offspring. Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold or silver of stone graven by art and mans device, and the times of this ignorance God winked at but now commandeth all men everywhere to repent." Acts 17:24-30
Everywhere i go i see people who have lost the knowledge of the true God that made them. A God who appointed the time of our birth, death and our time here. People are worshiping everything else but God. The world has distracted them to death, the death of the soul and of the body (Matthew 10:28). They should be deeply afraid, but they are not, they justify all they do in a mind given over to Satan, and continue their march toward eternal damnation. They should fear our holy and righteous God, but they do not. If i can reach but one soul for Jesus each day i live it is not enough. i pray i can do more, that my focus is entirely on Him and his will. There is so little time for anything else in this life but Jesus. i am so broken and weepy for the lost and for lives not lived fully for our God. The wishy washy, kinda sorta, wanna have it my way people who say they are Christian but never tell anyone, never share with anyone the amazing salvation story of our Jesus. Those who say they are Christian but nothing they talk about gives you any clue they are. YOU cannot have it both ways. If you are a friend of the world then you are an enemy of God (James 4:4). If you say you are a Christian and do not share your faith, you are a liar. Somewhere in some church you have been fed the lie that your relationship with Jesus is between you and Jesus and no one else. Jesus did not die to be forgotten...He died to make men truly free in him and in that freedom we hear the father urge us on to eternity, one soul at a time, shouting from the rooftops that JESUS SAVES, REPENT AND BELIEVE ON HIM!! Lead them all to Jesus and let God usher them into the kingdom...now is the time.
i was so blessed to share these last few days in New Orleans surrounded by men and women of God. It is always a joy to be together. To be with men and women who love God more than anything and would die in their mission to bring the Gospel message of our Saviour to the lost. It was a blessing and an encouragement to be with you all. We prayed, worshiped, fellowshiped, and went into the battle for souls together. i wish i had the time to spend time with each and every one of you, but i love you all more than you know and keep you all in my prayers. You are each an inspiration and encouragement to me in my everyday walk with Christ. Thank you all. It is comforting to know that while i am here on the West Coast doing the will of God, there are my brothers and sisters on the East Coast, all across this Nation and in Canada and Mexico, doing the same will of our Father...seeking and saving that which was lost. Amen.
