MARDI GRAS TESTIMONY..2010
i wrote this on Thursday, the 4th of February...Before this day i was not going to Mardi Gras, and was going to fast and pray from the 8th to the 18th. Here's my testimony...
For the last few days i have been in an internal spiritual battle. This morning i was waiting in the coffee shop where i meet Gloria before our outreach, i was reading my word in Romans 8 and i got a text from a sister in the Lord from Colorado, Michelle Schricker. It read, "if you had the money would you go to Mardi Gras?"
i looked up and said, Lord, you know my heart, If it is your will and there is provision, then i will go. Then the phone rang and it was Michelle and she asked the same question of me over the phone. i said that if the Lord willed and provided a way, i would go. She said she was sitting at her table in Colorado reading her word (at the same time i was) and the Lord said to her "Debbie should be at mardi gras." Wow.. i was humbled. God speaking to me through my sister. Our God is holy, mighty and amazing. She said she has $20 and feels moved to get the rest for me. i was grateful to God and for the obedience and faithfulness of Michelle to hear God and do. We hung up the phone trusting God would answer us.
During the out reach that morning Michelle texted and asked what days would i go? i said, i guess the 11th to 16th and she said, wow, that would be half price! Well, when i was done with the outreach this morning and driving home, Michelle called me and said check your e-mail when you get home. So, i did and the ticket was there. i am at a loss for words except to praise God and thank him, to thank Michelle and let her know how much i love her and her faith in and obedience to God.
i pray that i live up to this personal invitation from God to "GO" amen.
This Mardi Gras outreach with over 300 soul winners gathering to win the lost for Jesus, is rally shaking things up in the spiritual realm. i am hearing of attacks on families all over, mostly in sickness but also in opression other areas. But our God is bigger and the victory is won in Christ Jesus. i am asking that we bombard heaven with prayers for God's covering upon us, for healing of our sick brothers and sisters, especially Eileen Shuff as she is up against stage 4 cancer, for provision for the Saturday outreach to Iberville, and for the needs in the camp for the time we are there, for supernatural healing, strength, wisdom and power in each of us to walk in the Spirit each moment. Amen, amen and amen.
