A CALL TO HOLINESS

"Sanctify yourselves therefore and be ye holy for i am the Lord your God, and ye shall keep my statutes and do them i am the Lord which sanctify you." Leviticus 20:7-8

God has not changed, he is the same yesterday, today and forever. What his word says is as true today as it was before time. He wants us to be holy and set apart from the world and be in Him for eternity. He wants us to be doers of his word and not merely hearers.

"But be ye doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves." James 1:22

"Enter ye in the strait gate for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leadeth to destruction and many there be which go in thereat. Because strait is the gate and narrow is the way which leadeth unto life and few there be that find it.: Matthew 7:14-15

Jesus said few will find the the way to life...to him, to eternity. FEW. If we have found it, and you know who you are, then our life should be reflecting Christ in us, The grace he has shed in our hearts should be reflected in our lives.

God is very clear on how we are to live and who we are not to keep company with. Narrow is the way that leads to God, to life everlasting.

"i wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators. Yet altogether with the fornicators of this world or with the covetous or extortioners or with idolaters for then must ye needs go out of the world. But now i have written unto you not to keep company. If any man that is called a brother be a fornicator or covetous or an idolater or a railer or a drunkard or an extortioner with such an one no not to eat." 1 Corinthians 5:9-11 also 2 Timothy 3:2-5, Romans 16:17

Pretty slim pickins isn't it. Do you have a "friend" living in fornication? living and having sex with someone and they are not married? in drunkenness? a consistent complainer (railer)? the covetous (people with greedy, possessive, envious ungodly worldly desires)?

God is clear that the way is narrow. God is clear on how we are to live and who we are and are not to keep company with as we live this eye-blink of a life. God is very clear on who will and will not inherit the kingdom of God.

"Know ye not that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived, neither fornicators, nor idolaters nor adulterers nor effeminate nor abusers of themselves with mankind, nor thieves nor covetous nor drunkards nor revilers nor extortioners shall inherit the kingdom of God." 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, Galatians 5:19-21

Please do not take my word for anything..search the Scripture on your own.. do a thorough search.. Acts 17:11.

If you say you are a Christian and are not reading your Bible every day, i would argue that you are not following Christ nor do you have a relationship with him. And you probably do not know him, or he you. And that could cost you your eternity with Him.

"And this is life eternal that they might know thee the only true God and Jesus Christ whom thou hast sent." John 17:3

GET INTO GOD'S WORD AND GOD'S WORD WILL GET INTO YOU...PT

"Not everyone that saith unto me Lord, Lord shall enter into the kingdom of heaven but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day Lord, Lord have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will i profess unto them i never knew you, depart from me ye that work iniquity." Matthew 7:21-23

Jesus is coming soon and we do not know the day or hour.. be ready or be ready to face the consequences of a life without him.
