REPENTANCE.. A RESPONSE TO RIGHTEOUSNESS, AMEN.

"Now I rejoice, not that ye were made sorry, but that ye sorrowed to repentance, for ye were made sorry after a godly manner, that ye might receive damage by us in nothing. For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of but the sorrow of the world worketh death." 2 Corinthians 7:9-10

Godly Repentance... a response to righteousness, not a response to sin. Acknowledging we have grieved a Holy GOD. Changing our mind, our thinking (the moral conviction/compunction to think differently). Sin is conceived in the heart, the best time to repent is before we sin. Walk in righteousness.

"Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?" Romans 2:4

Radical change came on the scene with John the Baptist, amen. "In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea and saying, Repent ye, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. For this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Esaias, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight." Matthew 3:1-3
