LIVING FOR GOD

i won't say being here serving GOD in RAVEN Ministries, in Louisiana is easy. It is the truth that to serve GOD we must sacrifice what we may want, what we know and are comfortable with, our family and friends, financial gain, and mostly, our very lives. JESUS gave His life for every living soul and we must give ours.

"I am crucified with Christ nevertheless I live, yet not I but Christ liveth in me and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God who loved me and gave himself for me." Galatians 2:20

There is a cost to living the Cross Life, to serving JESUS daily in holiness and righteousness, in truth and obedience. A cost to walking each day with our Saviour, with our cross (Luke 9:23). It costs everything we know and love to serve our GOD, to put Him first before everything and everyone in our lives. Once we find it, we must be all in.

"Enter ye in at the strait gate, for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leadeth to destruction and many there be which go in thereat. Because strait is the gate and narrow is the way which leadeth unto life and few there be that find it." Matthew 7:13-14

Most people will not find the way, even when the way is right in front of them and offered to them (John 14:6) Most will not pay the high price but will convince themselves they have.  Most will live lukewarm lives (Revelation 3:15-16), convincing themselves they are "alright", they are "good", that they "know" JESUS, as they live day to day entertaining themselves, satisfying themselves and deceiving themselves on the way that they choose themselves, not the one GOD has chosen for them.

"There is a way that seemeth right unto a man but the end thereof are the ways of death." Proverbs 16:25 

Do not be deceived, we cannot pick and choose the parts of the WORD of GOD that we like or want to follow, we must obey it all. We must read, study and commit our hearts to GOD and every holy word He has given us, living it out daily, while there still time and is breath in our mortal bodies.

"But be ye doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves." James 1:22 Amen. "Thy word have I hid in mine heart that I might not sin against thee." Psalm 119:11

Doing the work means doing it every day with all our heart, all for the glory of GOD and His Kingdom. It means sacrifice to reach the lost (Luke 19:10) while there is still time because time is running out (John 9:4). It means checking our own selfish desires (self and flesh) at the door and putting on the mind of CHRIST and walking in His will for our lives, no turning back, ever. Amen.

"And how shall they preach except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace and bring glad tidings of good things! " Romans 10:15
