HELP REACH THE LOST

If we are honest, when we take an honest look around, we can see the signs of a world and an America that has turned its back on GOD with total disregard for Him and His precepts for living our lives.. A world crumbling and collapsing in sin.

But there still are places where people cling to and live out their faith in GOD, where preaching, teaching and sharing JESUS is the standard of life. i am blessed to be living in such a place with such a people of GOD. A place where faith, hope and love, truth, obedience, holiness and righteousness are more than words, but a life lived for GOD in JESUS CHRIST.

My pastor and his wife, Pastor Troy and Melanie Bohn have given their whole lives to serving GOD, to reaching a lost and dying world and raising up men and women of GOD to do the same. They truly live by faith for all their needs, and in their need, time and time again i have seen them give what little they have to supply the need of another.

PLEASE reach deep into your heart, pray, the need is great. Please give to this ministry and what GOD is doing here. It is amazing. Amen.

(((THANK YOU ALL))) That have long stood with Melanie and I as we have endeavored to faithfully teach the Word of God and take the Message of the Cross to the lost and dying. The 17th of this month will mark the 10th Anniversary when we resigned our church in Texas after 14 years to obey the voice of the Lord and move to the City of New Orleans. (Wow! What a transformational decision!)

In that time we have seen God's mighty hand move powerfully on so many levels: salvations by the thousands, healing, restoration, deliverance and provision. He told us long ago, "When you SEE IT like I saw it, then you will DO IT like I did it" - that is what we have tried to faithfully do.

While many things have changed over the past decade: our kids are now married, we're grandparents, we've planted a church in Florida, we're planting another inner-city reaching church now, we've gotten older! (lol), and we've learned many things and grown in the Lord...

There are some things that have remained the same: We have held to the task and purpose that He sent us out for (to reach out to the lost with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to equip the saints for the work of the ministry), we have continued to depend upon the Lord Jesus every single day to sustain us and to meet our needs.

We are in one of those intense seasons that come along periodically right before the enormous breakthrough. Its that storm sent by the adversary in an attempt to get you to shrink back, hesitate or divert from your mandate. The thing is - we are all to familiar with his devices to allow such things to dissuade us from the will of our Father! Our hand is set firmly upon the plow and there is no turning back.

This past month we launched the Crosslife Fellowship Church and just hosted our second Sunday worship service. I also just completed class number 31 in our expository series through the Epistle of First John (still in progress!), we continue to take Raven Street Church out to Bourbon Street each Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights to shine the light of the Lord Jesus into the midst of 50,000 plus each night, and then all the other "stuff" that fills our day with preparation, outreaches and various other ministry responsibilities.

In the next few weeks we will (miraculously) take possession of a nearly 20,000 sq ft (3) story facility that will serve as the campus for the Raven Ministries International Training Center. This will be a place where we can host and train teams throughout the year (100+ at a time!) in various aspects of evangelism, outreach and soul-winning!

As you can see - things are quickly advancing and the opportunity to impact multitudes has been graciously extended to us. Thank the Lord Jesus for this!

While we represent the "hands and feet" of the work of Raven Ministries - many of you have been the "heart and the soul", the "prayer covering" and the "generous benefactors" that have stood by us faithfully through it all. You have shared in the task and you too will share in the reward!

PLEASE: (a) Keep us in your prayers. They sustain us and strengthen us more than you could possible imagine. Pray for our team that ministers along side of us. Pray for the harvest of souls that we reach out to every week. (b) Plan to come and participate in the ministry this next year at the Raven Training Center on a short term inner-city missions trip (c) Please consider giving financially today to relieve some of the burden that has piled up over the past few months.
